Hi! My name is Justin Rey Durupan, I grew up in the Philippines, and moved to Hawaii when I was 7 years old. I graduated from Waianae High School in 2019, developing the passion for video editing and animating. I was exposed to the wonders of movies and cartoons at a very young age, and I’ve always dreamed about creating unique stories that came from just imagination, into a work of art for people to enjoy! - If I was an artist tool, I would consider myself a shape tool. The reason why I would see myself as a shape tool because it doesn’t matter whether you’re a different shape or size, you can always adapt, add, and change who you are. The more you continue to work and even add in more assets into your project, you’ll soon become closer to the final product and be the final render I always dream to be.
The rapid growth of content on TikTok has made it a popular platform for publishing information. However, with the abundance of content, misinformation can easily be spread to users worldwide, which can negatively impact our mental health. This research aimed to investigate the generation of misinformation on TikTok and its effect on mental health. Through an examination of relevant studies, this research revealed how misleading mental health information, such as symptoms of anxiety and anger, can result in users believing they have ADHD when learning from non-certified professionals. TikTok is aware of this issue, as misinformation continues to expand daily. By understanding the ways in which misinformation is spread and its negative impact on mental health, future researchers and TikTok can work towards eliminating the spread of misinformation on the platform.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
