Hi! My name is Benjamin Duong. I grew up in Hawaii. I transferred from the MELE program at HonCC. For high school, I attended Moanalua High School. If I were an artistʻs tool, I would be the palette, because the palette is light, efficient and holds all the colors together.
This research explored the relationship between music and studying in public places, such as coffee shops. While background music in these settings is often thought of as a potential distraction, it has been suggested that preferred background cafe music can actually improve an individual's performance. The study considers the benefits and drawbacks of listening to music while studying, and highlights the universality of music as a potentially positive influence. Overall, the research suggested that music does have the potential to positively affect studying in public spaces.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
