Hi my name is Efrain Tirado. I grew up in Bridgeport Connecticut, that's North East US a little state next to New York. I went to Bullard Havens Vocational Highschool. Some years after graduating high school I joined the Navy and ended up stationed in Georgia where I went to community college. I received my associates degree and then ended up in Hawaii where I am currently in West O'ahu. If I were an artist's tool it would be Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro. These two industry professional tools are so much fun to use. Though difficult because of all the tools built in them, they are amazing at creating beautiful video game cutscenes we see today in gaming.
The video game industry, from its origins to its current status as a multi-billion-dollar global industry, has undergone a huge journey. The industry's growth can be traced to its roots from early experiments at MIT to the contemporary dominance it holds in entertainment. Technological advancements, in graphics, hardware, software, and virtual reality, have played a pivotal role in shaping the industry. The rise of Esports, streaming platforms, and innovative career opportunities, such as the GT Academy, has diversified the gaming community.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
