Hello, My name is Isen Matsumoto. I was born and raised on the island of Oahu in the small town of Wahiawa. I attended Mililani High School and am a part of the class of 2020. I then attended Leeward Community College until 2021 and have since transferred my general education credits to the University of West O‘ahu. If I were an artists tool, I would definitely be a keyboard. I say this because I am quite practical and uniform with the things that I decide to pursue. However, the thing with keyboards is that they must be pushed in order to get the job done. Encouragement and motivation are great contributors towards whether I can succeed in things or not.
This research analyzed the many effects that censorship has on various forms of media including the suppression of knowledge, the limits on the freedom of expression, and its implications on social justice. This essay also considers the concept and conceptualization of censorship itself and whether or not the practice is morally sound, examining the idea through an ethical lens. Research has shown modern society to be dominated by technological devices where media is generally stored. Combining this with the fact that the existence of censorship is inherently linked to media, this study aims to dissect the impact of these effects on individuals who consume media. Analysis has determined the effects of censorship to be predominantly harmful but can vary due to context, perspective, and methods of execution. On this basis, it is recommended for proponents and non-proponents of censorship to consider all perspectives of the discourse and to consistently include human right laws.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
