Hi! My name is Carlena Scott Boyd. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I've attended a couple of high schools, but have graduated from the Ohio Virtual Academy. Originally, I went to my home city's community college but then moved to O'ahu for Leeward Community College. If I were an artistʻs tool, I would be a crayon. I do what's required but I'm not best option compared to the other alternatives.
Video editing has evolved from mechanical film-editing techniques that were first introduced in the early 1900s, corresponding with the evolution of film itself. The bulk of today's media content contains video editing, including contemporary media, television, film, and digital media, although the spectator rarely notices. It is unseen art dependent on the editor's ability to shape time, depicting the known and removing the unknown. Video editing is an essential component of the creative process. As an art form, video editing further explores defining art through the artist's intent and the spectator's personal experience. It can be observed how video editing transports a viewer into another world, allowing them to lose track of time and experience it from unique perspectives. The reseasrch examined the craft of video editing, with a historical overview of the development of film, art, perception, and editing, concluding with an examination of video editing’s current state as a creative ambition.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
