Hello, My name is Zachary Hamrick. I grew up in Texas in the southern area of Corpus Christi, originally from Aransas Pass and Portland. I attended Gregory-Portland ISD as my graduating high school and later went into the Navy less than a month of graduation. After serving 8 years active duty I took my college credits from the military and applied it to UHWO to pursue my degree in Creative Media. If I was an artistʻs tool, I would be the artists cleaning solution. To have the purpose to clean the brushes so the artist can mix new colors together and create breathtaking scenery, which wouldn't be possible with a dirty brush. Just like life, we need to clean ourselves up before beginning something new, and not mixing in the old us, into the new us that has yet to come.
Facebook, YouTube, CNN and other main streaming platforms such as these are the basic tools used by people these days to get their information about what is happening in the world. The problem arises when people get their news exclusively from these sources, not realizing they are not getting a full understanding of the story. Recently, the subject of police brutality has been a hot subject on social media with breaking stories about how unfair police officers are in their interactions with the public. Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) are presented with the uphill battle of not only protecting law and order, and now have to be careful with who might be videotaping them. In exploring this sensitive subject, this paper will explain what good police officers do for their community, how much they sacrifice, why they chose this line of work, and what they deal with on a daily basis.
The concept of creativity has come a long way. The Old Greeks would call those creative forces muses, other religions referred to them as God. Today people still mostly treat creativity as an aha moment outside the area of influence. However, just by looking at the creative process one can tell, that creativity and creative work is more than just that one "Aha-Moment" (insight). It is clear that generating ideas demands planning and preparation, identifying something of interest like a problem, an opportunity or a challenge, doing research. This then leads to thinking of a solution, allowing time to incubate and iterations before arriving at something “complete.” Students learn that hard work is what makes their ideas come to life and sticktuiveness is what helps them get better.
