Printing Tips for Seating Charts

Post date: Sep 5, 2014 4:59:16 PM

This information pertains to printing a seating chart from the STU419 - Section Seating Chart report.

1. Remove any rows or columns that you are not using. See image to the below.

Once you remove the extra rows/columns that you are not using, your seating chart will print a more normal size.

2. Make sure that you are printing your seating chart either landscape or portrait as needed.

3. If you have a hard time reading the fonts, be sure to print on larger paper.

You will need to adjust some settings when you print from Preview, including SCALE TO FIT and having it FILL ENTIRE PAPER.

In my testing, I printed to legal paper and when I select SCALE TO FIT and Fill Entire Paper, it scaled it to 124%. Result: Great chart with readable fonts. You can see my example settings in the image below.

If you have tried the above and are still having trouble, please email a time that we can talk so that we can get your seating charts to print out nicely.
