Tech Tuesdays
Overview
Interested in learning more about how teachers and students are using technology in the classroom?
Tech Tuesdays are devoted to classroom observations, hands-on training, lesson development, and in-depth conversations with the classroom teacher.
During Tech Tuesdays, small groups of teachers will:
Observe a classroom in which students are actively engaged in using technology in the learning process;
Following the observation, participants will receive hands-on training in the use of the observed technology;
Meet with the classroom teacher for an in-depth Q&A about the lesson and how it fits into the larger instructional picture; and
Work with your peers on your implementation plan.
Topics could include:
Technology in the secondary math classroom
Using iPads to support reading instruction
Using HMH online resources for small group instruction
Using Google Classroom with an emphasis on peer collaboration
Using TeacherVUE's Assessment to monitor student progress
Programming Dash and Dot robots using a simple drag and drop code
