Lebolegido

Population: 3,518

Kalamarns, Bradobians and Dejy are in the majority, but there are plenty of humanoids and a few Fhokki as well.

At a Glance:

The large town of Lebolegido is part of the Central District of the Principality of Pekal, and home to eight members of the Honorable, with a very active market. The town is partially walled, and the city architects were clever enough to leave room for additional growth. Six keeps and a number of large farms lie on the outskirts of town.

Government:

A council of twelve, currently including six of the Honorable, governs Lebolegido. the other six members of the Council include four wealthy merchants, Captain Romari, and Jiloba B'Lobatar, a resident adventurer. The Council only meets when necessary, for the town runs itself well. They elect a yearly mayor from among the Council members, the current mayor being Ranselita Fortron, a merchant of Brandobian ancestry.

Economy:

Lebolegido is situated at the junction of two roads - Merchant Way running along the southern lake coast, and a second cobblestone road leading south into the greater larger port on Lake Eb'Sobet. The town is an agricultural paradise, with food goods from distant lands making their way into Lebolegido's market. It also has a number of artisans within its walls, who specialize in creating spectacular figureheads. These artisans are very tight group and descended from pure Fhokki ancestry. It is unknown where they find their muse, though rumors abound about a relationship with creatures from the bottom of the lake. Regardless, there is a long waiting list for their products.

Military:

The small Fort Lakeside, just to the northeast of Ledolegido, holds a minor garrison of troops. Two of the Honorable are retired army officers who deal with any military or militia requirements. Colonel Sortureer Seetoov was once in command of all the principality's naval marines, and is the local expert regarding sea stories and tales of the deep. Master of Sergeants Kurgaz Vakhtunaz was one of the first half-hobgoblins to be promoted in the army of the Principality, and the first Honorable of such ancestry. The local commander is Captain Romari, a gnomish warrior from the Kamarela Mounds. He is very competent, but does tend to consult Kurgaz or Sortureer when unsure of a decision. The garrison is composed of 64 men and women, nearly a quarter of the archers.
