Arctic Halfling Racial Traits

• Arctic Halflings are hardy folk, and like other halflings they are quick but weak. -1 Strength, +1 Dexterity, +1 Constitution, -1 Intelligence.

Small-sized: As small-sized creature, Arctic Halfling gain a +1 size bonus to armor class, a +1 size bonus on attacks rolls and a +4 size bonuse on Hide checks, but they must use smaller weapons than humans use, and their lifting and carring limits are three-quarters of those of Medium-size characters.

Arctic Halfling base speed is 20 feet.

Low-light Vision: Arctic Halfling can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight and similar condition or poor illumination. They retain the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions.

Halfling Luck: +1 racial bonus on all saving throws, like other Halfling, Arctic Halflings are capable of avoiding mishaps.

Fearless:+2 moral bonus on saving throws against fear, this bonus stacks with the Halfling +1 saving throws in general.

• Primitive Weapon Mastery & Familiarity: +1 racial bonus on attack rolls made with the following weapons; bolas, club, dagger, dart, goad, handaxe, harpoon, iuak, javelin, longspear, quarterstaff, ritiik, shortbow, shortspear, sling, sugliin, and throwing axe as martial weapons, rather than exotic weapons.

+2 racial bonus on Climb, Jump, and Move Silently checks: Halfling are agile, surefooted, and athletic.

• +2 racial bonus on Swim checks: Arctic Halflings rarely swim by choice, but are reasonably good at saving themselves from drowning.

• +2 racial bonus on Survival checks: Survival is always a class skill for the Artic Halflings as they know the ways of their land.

Shared Heritage: Arctic Halflings gain Bluff as Innuendo skill with a +2 racial bonus to Innuendo checks when sending a message to or receiving a message from another Halfling or intercepting a hidden message between Halflings.

• Climate Tolerant (cold): Arctic Halflings can exist comfortably in conditions between -20 and 90 degrees F without having to make a fortitude save. This counts as it the halfling had the Cold Endurance feat for the purposes of fulfilling prerequisites for other feats or prestige classes.

• Automatic Languages: Halfling and Dwarven. Bonus Languages: Celestial, Low-Elven, Merchant's Tongue and one regional human language.

• Favored Class Ranger: A multiclass Arctic Halfling's fighter class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.
