a.k.a. Extraplanar Dwarf
Frost dwarves are mostly found on the frostfell, Iron Wastes of the Infinite Layers of the Abyss. As it is written by the original dwarven clans, these dwarves originated in the world of Tellene, and they were once Aritic Dwarves. Sadly they were removed from the world as slaves by frost giants to serve them and other cold races of the Outer Planes.
Personality
Frost dwarves of Tellene are friendly and outgoing, little concerned with class or clan distinctions. They enjoy life to the fullest and see little reason to accumulate wealth or material possessions. They believe in hunting and gathering sufficient food to feed themselves but otherwise have little interest in labor of any sort. They strive to spend as much time as possible in leisurely pursuits, storytelling, sports such as wrestling, and games with their children. Frost dwarves are driven by the same passions as other dwarves; justice, honor, and sometimes revenge.
Physical Description
Frost Dwarves are short even compared to other dwarves they range from 3'4" to 3'6" tall, but tend to be heavier from 175 to 255 lbs. They have very pale somewhat ashy white skin. Their eyes have small pupils and light irises, generally pale green or gray in color. They frequently have white or gray hair. All frost dwarves, like Ice dwarves have beards and every male has a beard which is naturally very long even at a young age.
Relations
Although far from cruel, they are aloof and seldom concerned with the plight of others, but they are known to save travelers from freezing to death in the wilderness, and are moved to intervene in such circumstances, but mainly because of pity. While Frost Dwarves harbor no love for orcs or goblinoids, nothing matches their hatred of frost giants, white dragons, and other evil creatures of ice and snow.
Alignment
Frost Dwarves are always chaotic, because of their free state of mind. Adventuring dwarves are less likely to fit the common mold, however, since they’re more likely to be these who did not fit perfectly into their dwarven society.
Frost Dwarf Lands
Some reports in the northern parts of the extreme heights of the Byth Mountains and the Deshada Mountains have noted newly founded Frost Dwarves and their clans, but these frost dwarves don’t generally travel from their frozen lands they call home, for they cannot bear warmer climates. Those who do leave their wintry homeland rarely venture far beyond the merely uncomfortable temperate climes, and generally only do so when circumstance forces them out of their homes. Essentially the only contact frost dwarves have with other races is through trade, making irregular ventures into warmer regions to barter finished goods for raw materials they cannot acquire in their own lands.
Religion
Druids have a special role in frost dwarf societies, a druid council is responsible for many of the culture’s important decisions and are the religious leaders. Unlike the druids of many races who live removed from settlements, these druids influence how communities are built. As a result, these communities tend to remain small and hidden, creating very little impact on the wilderness around them. Look after by the druids, the few animals able to withstand the cold climes wander freely through their communities. Travelers unfamiliar with the frozen lands can easily pass within a few hundred feet of a village without noticing its presence. One thing firm is their boundless loathing and hatred for any worshipers of the Overlord, and his House of Shackles.
Language
Frost dwarves speak a dialect that is similar to standard dwarf, though it has a shallower vocabulary except for concepts relating to their frostbound environment. Many frost dwarves also speak the languages of other creatures, and most are familiar with the tongues of their fiercest enemies Gaint and Draconic.
Adventures
With generations of battling frost giants and other monsters have given rise to a strong martial tradition with frost dwarves. The self-reliance of these dwarves allows their continued survival and hence brings about the relaxed attitude many feel toward life. Frost dwarves are rarely drawn to adventuring, but those who do usually display a curiosity about other cultures so strong that they are willingly forgo the life of leisure they might otherwise pursue. Instead of waiting to chance upon evidence of other cultures in their remote homes, they head out to explore the world, seeking out the exotic and the new. As such, they stumble into adventures by accident, happily exploring any new environment they come across.
