Coins of Reanaaria

Reanaaria Bay

Each of the cities and city-states of Reanaaria Bay, with the exception of the pirate city of Assaer, mint their own coins. Each city uses their own standard size and weight of coinage minted with gold, silver, copper and, rarely, platinum or even glass. Naturally, the images imprinted on both obverse and reverse vary by city.

Baethel

A Baethelite coin features a human and gnome riding a single horse through a city street, while the reverse displays the words “1 Ally” (a copper) ; “1 Draah” (a silver); “1 Staatuir” (a gold); all with an image of the city.

Saaniema

Saabiena’s coins are imprinted with an image of the sun rising the stoneworks of the Island of Ucea. The reverse displays the words “1 Liiraa”(a copper); “1 Poloi” (a silver); “1 Republic” (a gold) above a variety of images; Liiraa a bundle of rye; Poloi small shrimping boat; Republic is imprinted with crossed polearms.

Geanavue

Geanavese coins display the words “1 Small of Geanavue” (a copper); “1 Rosaara of Geanavue” (a sliver); “1 Glint of Geanavue” (a gold) circling the coin with no image, while the obverse shows the city’s coat of arms; a wings-spread eagle clutching a ruby in its talons.

Giilia

Coins from Giilia display the words “1 Nightpeace ”(a copper); “1 Shodow” (a silver); “1 Coldcoin” (a gold) on the reverse, underneath a silhouette of the city. The obverse of the Nightpeace displays a deep cave, the Shadow is imprinted with a shadowy figure of a faceless man, and the Coldcoin shows a flying bat.

Xaarum

The reverse of Xaarum coins are imprinted with an image of five men talking to one man. The obverse of a Single (a copper) is simply marked “1 Single”, while a Baron (a silver) is imprinted with the image of a small keep. The Duke (a gold) coin displays the visage of Duke Emearer.

Zoa

Zoan Coinage displays a merchant ship in dock on the obverse, with the words “1 Spender” (a copper); “1 Guilder” (a silver); “1 Elder” (a gold); 1” Fleetcoin” (a platinum), on the reverse of each.

Deynaj

The obverses of all coins of Dynaj are imprinted with an image of the city from a short distance away, with various images on the reverse. The Trooper (a copper)shows a patrolling footman; the Kojen (a silver), a morningstar over a steel shield; and the Gilter (a gold), a chunk of gold on a pile of sand. Aside from standard coinage , Dynaj mints a unique glass piece, the “Kycho” worth five gold pieces.
