  • +2 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and Spot checks. A Sun Elf who merely passes within 5ft. of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a search check to notice it as if she were actively looking for the door. • Burning Touch: Sun Elves have a magical affinity for sunlight that gives them an unusual edge in fighting foes. With the direct contact of natural day light (x2 per day) a Sun Elf accesses the burning touch ability. You can make any melee weapon you wield deal an additional 1d4 of fire damage to opponents as if you had the burning hands power. Flammable materials burns if the flames touch them and the flames can be extinguished as a full-round action.

  • Elven Trance: As with all elves, Sun Elves do not sleep like members of the other common races do. Instead, they meditate in a deep trance for 4 hours a day. An elf resting in this fashion gains the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. While meditating, an elf dreams, though these dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. The Common word for an elf’s meditation is “trance,” as in “four hours of trance.”

  • Automatic Languages: Low-Elven, High-Elven and Sylvan. Bonus Languages: Any one human tongue, Clestial and Merchant's Tongue.

  • Favored Class Wizard. A multiclass Sun Elf's wizard class does not count when determining whether he takes an experience point penalty for multiclassing.
