Sovereign Lands

The Sovereign Lands is well suited to both, new and old players, starting in the Kalamar setting. This thread contains the background and history of the setting. There is a good level of depth and 'realism' which contributes to making the world of Tellene, somewhere a bit more than just a backdrop to adventure. It's more of a living 'alternate reality' that your characters can inhabit and participate in rather than merely visit.

The Kingdoms of Kalamar, offers a vibrant setting alive with rich cultures, imminent danger, and complex intrigue. It is also a world rife with adventure, where fantastic creatures roam the wilderness, evil clerics worship deties hell-bent on destruction, and the dead rise again to spread terror throughout the world. Here, complex political alliances mix with marauding bands of humanoids, and technology and industry come face to face with magic and the fantastic.

Combining the elements of fantasy and a strong medieval world based on real geographical, social and political features, this dynamic setting remains enjoyable long after the novelty of the "bazaars" wears thin.
