Notizie storiche e uso dello strumento

The Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation was founded in April 1888 by Edward Weston in Newark, New Jersey. Its industry was electronics and its headquarters remained in Newark, New Jersey. It was acquired by the Sangamo Electric Company in 1936. It was purchased by Daystrom, Inc. in 1954 and in 1964 was integrated into its parent (Daystrom changed their name to Weston Instruments, Inc.). Weston shut down most of its operations in 1987, and two years later was acquired by Ametek Inc. and combined with its U.S. Gauge Division.
