Journalist Report 05/10/2013 Shelby Bottoms Chrissy and Shelby had the opportunity to begin the day with a Martian sunr= ise EVA. It was a beautiful view, and they successfully=20 placed the radio repeater on top of the ridge. Last night, Crew 130 had the= experience of a lifetime as we awoke in the middle of the=20 night to look at the stars. Finally we had a clear night! The stars were br= eathtaking, and certainly not what we are accustomed to with=20 Atlanta=E2=80=99s light pollution. Steffan pointed the telescope to differe= nt objects in the sky, and we were able to look at Saturn, the Black=20 Eye Galaxy, the Whirlpool Galaxy, the Cigar Galaxy, and the Eagle Nebula.= =20 This morning=E2=80=99s highlight was a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bac= on, and hash browns!=20 Today, the crew also worked on our 3D printing projects, and we are getting= some awesome results. Since this afternoon=E2=80=99s EVA was=20 canceled, we also had an enjoyable time playing Settlers of Catan and readi= ng. Crew 130 is looking forward to a wonderful day on=20 Mars tomorrow, marking one week at MDRS!
