The Musk observatory is very impressive feature of MDRS. It has a
dome, it equipped with Celestron 14-inch CGE1400 telescope and it is
located in a desert away from light of big cities. Therefore it is
nearly heaven for amateur astronomer.
Ilya Chekh is a crew's astronomer. He shows us some nice photos which
he made at the Musk observatory - Moon, Jupiter with its satellites,
nebulas.
Besides, the sky above MDRS impresses us as well as the Musk
observatory. All crew members live in big cities and do not see dark
sky with bright stars often. Here we can see even the Milky Way after
eyes adapted to night conditions. It is really great pleasure!
