Commander's Report
12/24/2012
John Reynolds
Today started with a big doubt as to having an EVA. An early snow shower dusted the ground and I called a halt to outside operations. A weather window appeared about 13:00 hours and the four person EVA was on. Walking conditions were acceptable, the film crew were in attendance and some more rock and shell samples were retrieved. We had to stay within a reasonable distance to the Hab in case of deteriorating weather conditions. Tomorrow is Christmas Day and we plan on having limited duties. One EVA in the morning/early afternoon to Kissing Camel Ridge to continue geology research in that area.
Christmas dinner is planned for 17:00 and a relaxing evening following. Merry Christmas to Mission Support and all MDRS personnel.
