Commander Report

Todays activity remained in the vicinity of the Hab. This morning we had a storm front blow
through with high winds and rain. The winds struck and threw the outer front airlock door past the
door stop located on the front porch and broke the railing. We managed to get the door closed, but
a little later the wind blew it past the door stop again. The second time we used a rope to secure
the front door to the inner door. This arrangement has held so far.
Internet communications are improving with assistance from mission support.
Due to the rain, no EVAs performed. We performed the microbiology lab and are waiting results in
the next few days.
Students have had a good day working on there personal research. Alysen has been keeping up with
her testing as well as keeping the greenhouse running. Randy has been prepping for his EVA today.
Bao is also scouting out the location for his research.
As I am writing this report, the rain has started again. Depending on the amount of rainfall, we
may have to modify tomorrow's Geology EVA.
Crew attitude and health are excellent. Meals have been great.
