Commander Report
02/18/2013
Kent Nebergall
Ase led an EVA this morning to take photos of nearby features for work with
one of her projects. She took pictures of the hills, sent
them back to her investigators in Europe, and got feedback on where to take
samples later.
This afternoon, our attempts to use the Max rover were frustrated by lack of
connectivity, followed by lack of daylight. We did
arrange all the cameras, EVA suits, rover, control station, and walked
through the entire thing just in time to loose direct sunlight and
have to pack it in while the temperatures dropped dramatically. We hope to
be able to stage the same movie/rover investigation
tomorrow morning before our long-predicted storm hits.
Paula has been making progress on the temperature loggers, and repotted a
number of plants in the greenhab. She also reports that
the fruit tree is starting to bud. We have to finish our work for Audrey¹s
ATV study by tomorrow so that she can do follow-up
questions.
