Today has been a great day on Mars! The morning started with EVA Team #2 led by XO Matthew Schumann suiting up and heading out to collect geological samples for our geology study. EVA Team #2 collected several rock and soil samples at locations which EVA team 1 scouted out during yesterday's aerial scouting EVA. This afternoon the crew was busy at work. Shelby recorded some outreach videos which explained the work crew 130 is doing at MDRS and what a Mars simulation is like. We are excited to share our experience with Harris County Carver Middle School. Steffan was busy at work setting up our APRS tracking system for tomorrow's EVA. Doug and Schumann pre-assembled sections of the wind turbine for tomorrow morning's EVA. Shannon was busy classifying the various rock samples which were collected during this morning's EVA. Doug and I were busy planning this week's EVAs. Now the crew is ready for a relaxing night making personal pizzas out of dehydrated ingredients and having a crew movie night.Â
