Purpose:
Taking pictures for remote science team, for future sampling. Doing a MSL analog traverse with rover.
Narrative:
Early this morning I received an email from Pascale Ehrenfreund with a request to take picture of two sampling sites, so that I could get further instructions on how and what to sample there. We walked to these places in the morning, and took the pictures.
Later in the day, there was a lot of work with the rover, charging batteries, and mounting extra cameras on it and establishing the connection between the rover and the computer. When this was all done, it was late, but we hurried out to let the rover do its planned traverse at a Gale analog place close to the Hab. But, then we got problems with the connection, and the sun set, so we decided to try again the next morning. When we came back to the Hab, we figured out why we could not get the connection, and are now prepared to do this rover traverse tomorrow morning.
