Today began at different hours for the crew members: the astronomers spent most of their night in
the MUSK observatory and decided to sleep a little later than the rest of us this morning.
We also had the visit of a media crew today, the followed the geologist team on EVA and then headed
back to the Hab to ask a few questions and take pictures inside and outside the Hab. The simulation conditions were maintained as well as possible.
We went on EVA to the stream bed survey area and proceeded to some infiltration test to incorporate this factor in our model of the global flow of the stream. The tests were not sufficient and we'll need to do some more in the next days.
The engineers of the crew worked on their localisation project and made some major advancements:
A danger alarm was made to detect the position and distance of an potential danger marked previously.
The user is then warned by sound and light markers.
This system was tested in the afternoon during a second EVA by using the ATV's.
The geologist team worked on the data collected during the previous days to optimize the time we
have left at the station. The analysis of this data showed new possible perspectives for future
development.
