Time Slot:

Purpose:
Search for potential power sources, collect white mineral deposits & water for in lab analysis.
Narrative:
We left the hab this morning and headed to our first way-point. Arriving at the "boulder corner" we utilize the Geiger counter to check for radiation. Any significant readings could determine use of local materials on Mars as a potential power source. The readings received from the EVA’s check were a few clicks higher than normal background radiation. However was not solid enough to convert findings into a power plant. Departed from the first site, then traveled to the second way-point "Candor Chasma". Obtained white deposits then searched and were successful water discovery to sample. Sample was brought back to analyze in lab to determine if water is suitable for human consumption.
