Crew got up early and had breakfast. We started our first EVA with the
ATVs. The preparation was too
long (more than we expected). We decided to go to the farthest
waypoint to come back to the Hab later.
We lost communication in the middle of the way but we recovered it a
few minutes after. We took
advantage of this EVA to know a little more about our surroundings. We
made many tests for our project
a.k.a. Barsoom using Bluetooth because we had a lot of problems with
antennas which were made by us.
We designed and built an ATV stretcher adaptor and stretcher
cover/protection approach. Designs to be
tested on Monday, March 18th. We are spending good times together
while we are eating. We will be
eating dinner soon and probably watch movies, as we had it planned
yesterday but fatigue was against
us, then go to sleep in order to have another excellent day tomorrow.
We are in good conditions
physically and also emotionally, everyone is happy and excited for
that experience, including me. We
did not have any accident today and we hope to keep in the same
situation during the time we are here
in the station.
