Notes:
Last night, before eating dinner the XO got a cut in his middle finger consequence of being working
with wood all day. I only cleaned the wound with rubbish alcohol because it was a minor cut. Also,
the Greenhab engineer told us she saw a spider in the boots area especially near the inside of a
boot. I recommended my crew to turn down them upside down before putting them on to prevent any
spider or insect from staying inside.
At 10 am the Greenhab engineer and I went on the third EVA. We took the first aid kit with the two
extra components I put yesterday: sunscreen and two batteries. We didn’t use any of both. However,
once again while driving my eyes got teary and I didn’t have eye drops to solve this situation. I
recommend again in the future the first aid kit have eye drops.
After lunch, while working on the stretcher I was looking for some ropes in the containers behind
the suits and I almost got cut with two metal stakes that were hidden between the ropes. I put them
in a better place to prevent any injuries to my crewmembers.
While cleaning the kitchen I realized the counter’s surface was wet and the coffee machine
was connected. The connection was touching the water but because the machine was not working,
nothing happened. I noticed the electric connections near the kitchen are too close to the sink and
the counter’s surface –that can sometimes be with water- so we need to be careful when washing the
dishes for the water not to touch these and this way prevent any electric shock or electrical outage.
At 3 pm we continued working on the stretcher in the first level of the Hab. I noticed my
crewmembers looked tired and neither of them had their water bottle near. So I went back to the
second floor, filled the water bottles and took them downstairs. It’s important for all of us to
stay hydrated.
When I was inspecting the Hab and looking for some dangerous areas I was closing the back door
(access to the Greenhab) and it was so hard to close that I ended up with an abrasion in my
arm. I recommend Mission Support to fix this door and the main door of the Hab or make it fit
without applying too much strength.
