Commander Report
04/09/2013
Larry Benton
Today the crew executed the geology EVA in two groups. The first group consisted of Paulina, Randy
and myself. We collected rock samples and sedimentation samples for analysis back at the lab.
While on the EVA, Randy collected samples for his student research along with the samples required
by the geology EVA. The second group consisted of Marianne, Bao and Alysen. They also collected
samples as well for lab analysis.
Bao also had an EVA where he set up courses to run with trials using his resistance bands to
simulate the resistance of regular space suits while doing physical activity in the MDRS space
suit. Alysen is continuing to collect samples for her research.
Crew spirits are good, although we are experiencing slight fatigue.
Crew appears to have become acclimated to the altitude.
