Comments:
.Worked on ATV #2 today. The battery will not hold the charge. It was charged this morning and after install it began to lose its charge. Cleaned the gap on the spark plug as well. See DG comments below.
.ATV#4 has a low charge on the battery as well, will charge tonight. The coolant level is just above LOW, is there coolant available? There is none in the ATV box in the EVA room.
.ATV#3 is working normally after battery install.
.ATV#1 is working normally.
.ATV#5 starts but stalls after releasing the choke. The tires on the Honda need replacement. Photos are attached in the email. See DG comments below.
.DG returned the trailer today! Refilled the static tank.
.DG refilled the gas cans for the ATVs. He confirmed that the elevated tank is not to be used and is empty. I have adjusted the gasoline level in this report. I had been reporting full based on previous reports by Crew 120.
.DG and I looked over the ATVs. The battery on #2 needs replacement. He will acquire a replacement but will probably not return with it before the end of our mission. I looked for a replacement battery in the EVA airlock and could find none. On #5, I showed DG the issues with the choke and he mentioned the Honda could have a carburetor issue as well. He will look in to it when he returns.
.DG also recommends frequent filter replacement for the heating system. I will check the filter before Crew 121 leaves and change if necessary. There is one spare filter left.
.In reference to the toilet/septic system, DG agrees at least during the colder months to place toilet tissue waste in a separate bag. Crew 121 has been doing this until further notice.
