HealthSafety Report

Notes:
The six of us got up in good spirits. Even though five of us have been here more than a week
we are feeling great in mind and body.
After lunch, the EVA engineer told me he was having colic/like symptoms. His pain started
approximately at noon so I gave him a pill of pepto-bismol. After 2 hours he told me his pain had
decreased and by 3 pm he had no more pain.
Today’s temperature was a little high so all the crewmembers had had lots of water in order to stay
hydrated. Because we are saving water by washing the dishes twice a day we can allow us to drink as
much water as we need. We don’t want dehydration to stop us from our activities and take us away from the energy we need.
This day has been characterized by strong winds so strong that we had had noises inside the Hab
almost all day because of them. At 4pm all the crewmembers started to work out in the two levels of
the Hab, so when I was trying to close the back door the wind stopped it and I got a cut in my arm
with the handle. I cleaned the wound with isopropyl alcohol. Fortunately it was a minor cut.
No more incidents to report. All the crewmembers are fine.
