March 14th,
Wednesday's night was Casino Night. Playing some Texas' poker with peanuts made the night enjoyable.
Although Monica took all the winnings, everybody ate the peanuts like it was war. Then it came bed
time. Deep in the night, slumber getting us to Morpheus' chambers, dreams flourishing like Alice in
Wonderland... and BUM! Did someone break into the Hab? Was that a wild animal? No! It was our XO
falling from bed, waking us up at 4 a.m. Well, not that it could have been anything else, as there are
no signs of life on Mars... YET!
Sun rose, bread knitted and people getting up from bed. Eiji tried to do some pancakes as a change for
breakfast, but mistook Baking Soda for Baking Powder, making some funny pancakes. Of course, not
edible. After that, Humberto and Eiji went on an EVA to find some accident like spots and recreating
rescue missions while testing radio communication. For lunch we had quinua cooked by Andrea. It was a
surprise to find some traditional Peruvian food on another planet. Bellies full and spirits high, the
workshop opened. Antarctic Pile provided us with more than enough material to start building the
stretcher adapter. And... *drums*... both portable toilets were emptied today! Trailer's water tank
was taken today! Achievement unlocked: clean house! Jokes aside, it is really a relieve to know we are
in good hands. Life in Mars is good. Research is going well. Maybe in the future Earth can send R.
Daneel Olivaw to give us a hand in colonizing other planets. Until then, is up to us to make a path
for future generations!
