Lunar Simcomm
reported by Hans van 't Woud, March 3 2013
This morning we had a communication session using our low bandwidth
high reliability technology provided by VeaMea. This session, the 6th
was to test the technology to relay a video signal to ESA's technology
transfer business incubation center in the Netherlands. Using the MDRS
low bandwidth, usage restrictions and having an enormous delay
sometimes the technology nevertheless had proven to be very robust.
We were able to do a 15 minute video conference session both ways.
The quality was very good except for the delays sometimes, but that
was to be expected.
For this 15 minute session we only used about a 10 megabyte!
Tomorrow, the 7th we will repeat this session during breakfast which
will be an outreach event back in the Netherlands demonstrating this
technology.
