Commander Report

Corentin Liber
The last night was spent in the observatory by the astronomers as they
were trying to take some more
good pictures of the Panstarrs comet. In the middle of the night one
of the astronomers was replaced
by our engineer, to spare him some rest. They only came back after
sunrise. They were not very happy
as in the evening the comet was blocked by some clouds and in the
morning by some rising mist due to
the rain of yesterday.
While our astronomers were getting some rest the other crew members
worked on their respective
projects and duties: finishing the river bed Matlab code, writing
journalist reports and trying new
stuff to solve the small problems left with the XBee chips project.
The members who were planned for the EVA prepared the outing of the
afternoon, checking some
additional info on the potential findings they could do. The EVA went
well : samples of bentonite
were collected and petrified trees were confirmed and localised.
