Com'c Halloween Special 2014

Note before reading:

I've found that, at least on a computer, this is better read at 200% size.

I have not sized it up here in order to avoid making it horrible in

mobile view and jarring to readers browsing the archive,

but if you want to read it at 200% size, click the picture below. :-)

Commentary

Adorable Halloween! OOOoooOOOoo...

- ᴏᴜʀ ʀɪsɪɴɢ ᴏɴᴇ ʏᴇᴀʀ ᴀɢᴏ

- ᴏʜ ʟᴏᴏᴋ ᴡᴇ ᴀʀᴇ ᴄᴀɴᴏɴ (far right)

It's the night of monsters again, which means you should:

    • Avoid bringing anything remotely similar to an exotic egg or creature into your house.

    • Be aware that there are countless monsters out there disguised as children. They often knock on people's doors asking for "treats".

      • If they come to you, I suggest giving them some candy. You don't want to know what sort of treats they'll take otherwise.

    • Use the buddy system. Preferably with someone you can outrun.

    • Not feed anything after midnight. This goes double for exotic creatures.

      • Unless your pet, family, paper shredder, etc. start gnawing on your arms. If they do, it's already too late, so you might as well feed them.

      • When exactly "after midnight" ends is up to debate, but is generally considered to be some time in February.

    • Watch out for people who write lists.

    • Avoid woods at all costs. If you have to go through the woods... don't.

    • Bring an extra head, in case you meet a horseman.

    • Not assume it's ketchup. I don't care if it looks like ketchup, talks like ketchup and came out of the ketchup bottle. Do not assume it's ketchup.

This special was partially made with GIMP. While it was useful for the background gradient and the table, I found that it's very impractical for simpler things like most of the Com'c drawing process. I won't be using it regularly.

If anyone is interested, the battery monologue is written in the font Orator Std, bold, all-lowercase and size 10.
