I agree at least partially with John here. The reaction is pretty famous, but if you watch any serial non-fiction show made after ~2006 that goes into the realm of simple science-y tricks and experiments, it's likely to do something related to the Mentos-soda reaction at least once. I guess John is still exaggerating somewhat with "everywhere", but who doesn't use that sort of exaggeration regularly? I do that all the time. I don't even have any time to breathe between every time I exaggerate like that. It's a wonder I haven't suffocated yet, but maybe I just haven't had time to suffocate either?

As for Vee's suggestion, Mentos with soda inside... Hey, if any of my readers happen to work for Mentos, feel free to use the idea as long as you make sure it's sold in (northern) Norway! I want to try! :p

I really like Mentos in general, although I wish more than one of the flavors had been sold where I live. I actually ate a roll of Mentos on my way home today, without remembering what today's Com'c script was... huh.
