Commentary Transcript

Panel 1:

Memory panel. Marc is sitting in class. His geology teacher is talking monotonously off-panel.

Peter Montgomery: A halo is an optical phenomenon caused by light passing through ice crystals in the atmosphere.

Peter Montgomery: The crystals are often found in cirrus or cirrostratus clouds five to ten kilometers about the ground.

Peter Montgomery: Because these clouds often signify an approaching frontal system, a halo often mean rain will fall within the next twenty-four hours.

Panel 2:

Marc, outside. Gray outer wall in the background. Marc is remembering panel 1.

Caption: Later...

Marc Cervelle (singing): (I can see your) HALO, HALO, HALO!

(x2)

Panel 3:

It has begun to rain.

Marc Cervelle: Heh.
