Commentary

Ducks are wonderful dinosaurs. We have a family of wild mallards living in the river around our house (yes, around - it can be seen on three sides, and the fourth side belongs to our neighbors) during summer. I like them a lot better than the pesky magpies (who I suspect have a vocal language of sorts) and seagulls.

In-universe, I'm not sure where these ducks came from, but I can tell you the out-of-universe reason. This str'p came around as a result of me asking for two characters and three nouns and getting the answer "Marc, Vee, table, glass (drinking kind)*, duck" from Name Not Found.

On the technical side, I realized I could use a feature of the newer version of Paint that could cut a bit down on the work in making the speech bubbles. Speaking of speech bubbles, I hope it's clear enough that the gray bubbles and text means it's whispered.

Also, Vee manages to talk in italic bold (or bold italic) while whispering. That takes skill!
