Commentary (schedule change, read further down)

The punchline isn't really the main joke here, I guess.

The pseudo-programming language the commands are written in is not based directly on any real programming language. It doesn't look very advanced, which is sort of the point as I want it to be understandable. But in case it's not clear,

  • open chooses a location from which to select an object (without doing this, the program wouldn't know which John Blague to select);

  • select_object, well, selects an object; and

  • edit_object edits a property of the selected object.

What exactly John tried to change didn't matter, so I went for belly fat, because a lot of people can understand and relate to it more than to, for example, wanting to be a little shorter. What would you do if you could do this, but had a premium user? Let me know on the comment board! (Seriously, that thing is feeling lonely.)

(P.S. the following day: John does not, per se, have a weight problem (nor is he anorexic), but like many others who don't have a weight problem, he's a bit self-conscious about his belly fat and wouldn't mind an easy way to lose some of it.)

From the next str'p onwards, the update schedule will be shifted one day forward. This means we're going from Mon-Thu-Sat to Tuesday-Friday-Sunday.

There are various reasons for this change, mostly involving my school schedule. Thursday's physical education (gym) leaves me tired and somewhat pressed for time after school, and Fridays are really short. Moving Thursday's update to Friday comes naturally, and the rest of the week follows suit. This also leaves more time for Saturday as a day for relaxation after a long school week.

(Also P.S. the following day: I didn't realize until this morning that the wording here could be taken to mean there would be a str'p today (Friday). Whoops.)
