Mustaches appear to be a favorite of the Oddevices, and Cal's mustache is pretty much a stock graphic at this point. Drawing new hair is difficult because it usually involves "JPEGifying" (Summer's is an exception).

Believe it or not, the decision to include the beret was completely independent of the mustaches. I didn't realize the connection before I placed Vee's mustache (at which point the beret was already present). It's a happy accident, because I do think the str'p benefits from the combination.
