I told you her name wasn't miss Owner-of-Those-Legs! It's Summer Owner-of-Those-Legs Evans.

The basic design for Summer was fairly simple to do, because I already had a good idea of what she looks like.

It might not be obvious in comparison to Vee, who is known to be short, but Summer is actually rather tall. In face-view (i.e. standard Com'c style, as opposed to the hand-drawn body view in the anniversary special, her first appearance, or the computer-drawn body view here and sort of here (let's just forget about here)), she's only two pixels shorter than Marc, who I think is still the tallest character if you ignore Cal's crazy hairs. The main meta-reason for Summer's tallness is my own trouble with drawing her being carried by Vee without making her legs look ridiculous. Even so, I think I did reasonably well given the difficulty of drawing that pose. I'd like to see you try! (I like fan art!)

Summer is currently the only character with a flat hair color. This was an aesthetic decision - the reason most characters have non-flat hair colors is that it looks better; in Summer's case, flat looks better. I figure she dyes it that way often or something.

As for who's talking off-panel in panel one, the script says Jane, but after some very minor changes, I think it's Nope Guy. The other person is John.
