Of course the camera needs to be turned off between scenes. Otherwise, you'll just get a bunch of useless footage, wasting lots of valuable film. Do you know how much digital panel film costs me per pixel? You'd be amazed at the value. It's so incomprehensible that some basic parts of math just plain break down once the price of digital panel film gets involved!
