Commentary

Here we go! The Project has been finished! :D

Feedback would be very appreciated! Drop a comment, send me an e-mail, throw a little blue bird at me... something. I'd love to hear what you think!

Project Twex took me three weeks (from this str'p until Tuesday, 22 days in total), and I think it was all worth it. The characters are bigger, their art has been improved (I think, anyway), the panels contain much more space for dialogue and all izz well.

Part two of "Twex!", featuring the rest of the characters, will be up on Saturday as str'p #75! :-)

The boring part

I think Marc is the one that looks the worst of all of them, especially on the earpiece wire. He was the first character I Twexed, so I hadn't really gotten into how to do it yet. As such, there are still things I have to fix. That applies to most characters, but in a larger degree to Marc. On another note, however, I made one nice accident: I used the wrong skin color on him. I realized pretty soon, but I found it looked better than the old one, so Marc has now gotten a tan.

John and Vee both had the lines in their hair removed. Hair actually proved to be an annoyance for most of the project, but I think I pulled it off decently. Vee's earring looks more decorative and less round (I considered this back and forth for a while), although possibly a bit big. Also, Vee's neck is now more... necky.

Victor looks a lot better now. His head no longer looks like it was hit by a truck, which is a good thing if you ask me. He is also wider than before. Him being a very narrow character was not done intentionally.

Block is right in panel 3. Krixwell has become shorter, because his ridiculously long and straight forehead looked, well, ridiculous. I didn't change all that much about Block's appearance, partly because being a little rough around the edges is part of his design.

As for the layout, I decided to make the top left a bit cooler, using an actual logo instead of that boring text saying "Com'c by Krixwell". Speaking of the layout, panel and character outlines are no longer black; they are now a shade of gray slightly darker than the darkest gray color on the original 16-color palette I use for Com'c.

End of boring stuff

Pineapples look cool, but I don't think they taste very good. Bowties look even cooler, but they're not usually eaten. Liquid nitrogen is really cool, but it tends to give you brainfreeze.
