We come in peace, to vote for Com'c.

Commentary

These aliens?

I think the aliens may have messed up their disguises' skin color. Who knows, maybe they're color blind?

I don't know how the DBS apparently did an interview, given the language barrier. Then again, we don't actually know who was interviewed. Might've been the mall director. You'll have to ask the DBS people or go to page 3.

As for the word "planetality", that's obviously meant as a counterpart to "nationality". If nationality is what nation you're from, planetality is what planet you're from. That makes sense, doesn't it? (A quick search on Google shows, as one could expect, that I'm not the first person to have this idea (although it was independently).)

Sirph alphabet

Larger version of the panel 3 text.

The alphabet used in panel 3 and the str'p title ("We Come In Peace") is one of my own creations, predating Com'c by... a couple of weeks? I'm not sure exactly when I made it, but I'm pretty sure it was after the summer vacation ended in 2013 and before Com'c, which places it somewhere in August-September. I think. It doesn't really matter.

It's called the Sirph alphabet, after the way I created it (KiMs French Fries -> fries -> seirf -> sirf -> Sirph). It has a couple of special rules that I couldn't make the font for it use, so those rules are optional. They include, among other things, dots above consonants marking double consonants and a special letter for "th". Also, "ph" would be treated as "f".

Some of the Sirph letters may look similar to Japanese letters. I'd say that's coincidental, as the Sirph alphabet was mostly created by gravity, but maybe it means the Japanese Hiragana was made with French fries...
