Editorial Policies and Publication Ethic
First: Publication Requirements:
1. The journal publishes researches that have not been published before, in the fields of law and policy.
2- The research must not be derived from Master or Doctoral thesis of the researcher or his/her supervisor, or part of a book they have already published.
3 - JLPS publishes researches in Arabic Language only. The researcher bears evaluation costs of the linguistic terms.
4 - The researcher must commit in writing his research as per the principles of scientific research.
5 - The researcher shall pay (250,000) Two Hundred Fifty thousands of Iraqi Dinars as a fee to publish his research and evaluation scientifically.
6- The number of research pages with sources, margins, and tables should not exceed (25) printed pages (A4).
7 - The type of font adopted in all researches is (Simplified Arabic); and the size shall be (16) for the headings, (14) for the body, and (12) for the margins; there should be one space between the lines.
8. Numbering the pages at the top of the page to the left.
9. Margins are listed on each page separately, and the research concludes with a list of approved sources.
10 - Use (,) as a separator in the margins; the sequence of its contents shall be as follows: Author name, source address, edition number, publishing house, place of publication, year of publication, page number, with the adoption of abbreviations for titles, edition number, folders and parts.
11 - The research shall be enclosed with three summaries in languages (Arabic, Kurdish and English), not more than (100) words each.
12- Research should be submitted to the Journal's Editorial Secretariat in three hard copies and an electronic copy on CD.
13. Researches, or publication fees, shall not be returned to their owners if they are not accepted for publishing.
14. Researches published in the Journal shall be its property and may not be republished without the approval of its editorial board.
Second: Authors and Authors responsibilities:
- All researcher publishing their works in the JLPS are obliged to participate in peer review process.
- All authors shall have significantly contributed to the research.
- All authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.
- Researchers shall not publish same research in more than one journal.
3. Peer-review process:
- All of a journal’s content should be subjected to peer-review.
- Peer-review is defined as obtaining advice on individual manuscripts from reviewers’ expert in the field.
- It should be clearly described on the journal’s Web site.
- Judgments should be objective.
- Reviewers should have no conflict of interest.
- Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited.
- Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially.
4. Publication ethics
- Publishers and editors shall take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.
- In no case shall a journal or its editors encourage such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place.
- In the event that a journal’s publisher or editors are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct the publisher or editor shall deal with allegations appropriately.
- The journal should have guidelines for retracting or correcting articles when needed.
- Publishers and editors should always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
5. Copyright and Access
- Copyright and licensing information shall be clearly described on the journal’s Web site.
- The way(s) in which the journal and individual articles are available to readers and whether there are associated subscriptions, or pay-per-view fees should be stated.
سیاسات التحریر وقواعد النشر في مجلة
(دراسات قانونية وسياسية)
1- تنشر المجلة البحوث الرصينة التي لم يسبق نشرها من قبل، وذلك في مجالات القانون والسياسة.
2- يشترط ألاّ يكون البحث مستلاً من رسالة الماجستير أو اطروحة الدكتوراه للباحث أو المشرف أو جزءاً من كتاب سبق لهما نشره.
3- تقبل البحوث المكتوبة باللغة العربية فقط، ويتحمل الباحث تقويمها من الناحية اللغوية.
4- يتوجب أن يلتزم الباحث في كتابة بحثه بأصول البحث العلمي.
5- يدفع الباحث مبلغ (250) ألف دينار عراقي أجوراً لنشر بحثه وتقويمه علمياً.
6- لا يزيد عدد صفحات البحث مع المصادر والهوامش والجداول على (25) صفحة مطبوعة فولسكاب (A4).
7- يكون نوع الخط المعتمد في البحوث كافة (Simplified Arabic)، ويكون بنط الخط (16) للعناوين الرئيسة، و(14) للمتن، و(12) للهوامش، وبمسافة واحدة بين السطور.
8- ترقم الصفحات في أعلى الصفحة الى اليسار.
9- تدرج الهوامش في كل صفحة على حدة، ويختتم البحث بقائمة بالمصادر المعتمدة.
10- تعتمد الفارزة ( ، ) كفاصلة في الهوامش، ويكون تتابع مضمونها كالآتي: إسم المؤلف، عنوان المصدر، رقم الطبعة، دار النشر، مكان النشر، سنة النشر، رقم الصفحة، مع إعتماد الاختصارات بالنسبة للألقاب، ورقم الطبعة والمجلدات والاجزاء.
11- يرفق الباحث ببحثه ثلاثة ملخصات باللغات (العربية والكوردية والانكليزية)، بما لا يزيد على (100) كلمة لكل منها.
12- تسلم البحوث الى سكرتارية تحرير المجلة بثلاث نسخ مطبوعة، ونسخة الكترونية على CD.
13- لا تعاد البحوث، ولا أجور النشر، الى أصحابها في حالة عدم نشرها.
14- تعد البحوث المنشورة في المجلة ملكاً لها، ولا تجوز اعادة نشرها الا بعد موافقة هيئة تحريرها.
