Everyone that I have helped over the years really likes the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

"Beyond healing the anxiety, my whole inner landscape is changing. I’m learning that the self-criticism, shame and doubt I have been stuck in for so long can all be met with compassionate awareness and brought to resolution. I’m starting to feel the joy Peter talks about and a real tenderness toward myself and others."

Whether you are suffering from anxiety, depression or addiction, you MUST heal the underlying core emotions that fuel that emotional disorder. This is exactly what I will teach you during online therapy sessions; how to apply mindfulness training to heal emotional suffering and break free from negative emotional reactivity. If you are prepared to work hard you can expect to see big changes after 3-4 sessions.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I offer online therapy for the treatment of anxiety, for help with depression and also for help with recovery from addictions.

The system that I offer online is called mindfulness therapy, which is extremely effective for treating anxiety and depression and also it's very helpful for helping you manage the underlying emotions that are fueling addiction. And I make a big point of this. You must heal those underlying core emotions that fuel your anxiety, depression or addiction if you are to really fully recover from these emotional disorders.

This process is much easier than you might think, and most of my clients see quite dramatic changes after three to four sessions. It does not take years of therapy to learn how to manage anxiety, depression or addiction. What it takes is practical, focused strategic approaches to working with the core emotions that fuel anxiety, depression and addiction, and that's what I will teach you during mindfulness therapy sessions.

I will teach you how to apply mindfulness to work with these emotional states, to work with intrusive thoughts and reactive beliefs and so on, using mindfulness, so that you don't become a slave to your mind, so that you can overcome those patterns of reactive thinking.

This is central in mindfulness teaching: how to be with your emotions or thoughts or beliefs without becoming overwhelmed by them. And this is something I will train you in doing, so that you can sit with anxiety and not become anxious. You can sit with depression and not become depressed. You can sit with the compulsive impulses driving an addiction without becoming overwhelmed by those compulsive impulses.

And this is the first step a first essential step that you learn in the first two to three sessions of mindfulness therapy. We call this the "liberating effect of mindfulness." It basically liberates you from that habit of being blindly overwhelmed by thoughts and emotional reactions.

The second part of mindfulness therapy and training is learning how to respond to those core emotions in a way that brings about their healing and mindfulness therapy is very much about promoting inner the healing of core anxiety or depression or addiction.

So if you'd like to learn more, go to my website. Watch more of my videos and read more about this online Mindfulness Therapy approach. Please contact me with any questions you have. I'd be happy to talk to you. And when you feel ready you can schedule a Skype Therapy session with me. I'm based in Boulder, Colorado USA, but I see people worldwide. And I've seen people for over 20 years now and helped hundreds of people overcome anxiety, depression and addiction using the methods of mindfulness therapy.

The most important key to overcoming anxiety and panic attacks is to break the habit of reactive identification with emotions and thoughts when they get triggered. Mindfulness training is the best approach for doing this.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online therapist specializing in mindfulness therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression without the use of medications. This is a non-medical approach and it's based on the teachings of mindfulness therapy.

This is a system that I developed many years ago and I've been offering online for many years and proves to be very effective indeed for working with anxiety and panic attacks and depression and many other common emotional problems that benefit from mindfulness training.

If you'd like to talk to a therapist online to learn how to manage your anxiety and panic attacks better, then please go to my website and email me to schedule a session. You will be quite surprised at how quickly you can overcome anxiety and also panic attacks once you start applying mindfulness. It's a really remarkable set of tools that helps you prevent that problem that we call Reactive Identification, which is really at the center of anxiety reactivity for most people.

The problem is that we become identified with our anxiety, we collapse into our anxiety, we become captured by our anxiety, we become prisoners of our anxiety, and this process is called Reactive Identification, and it's basically simply a habit. Now with mindfulness training you will learn how to stop this habit so that you can essentially become an OBSERVER of your anxiety and other emotions.

You become an observer of your thoughts without becoming identified and overwhelmed by them. This is a key step that's necessary for changing the habits of anxiety panic attacks and also for depression.

You have to break free from the habit of becoming overwhelmed by emotional reactivity and also cognitive reactivity. You have to learn to maintain balance in relationship to the mind. This is much easier than you might think. The problem, simply, is that most people are not given the guidance in how to do this.

Talking therapy can be useful but often it simply does not help you break free from that problem of reactive identification. Also, medications do little to nothing to change the underlying habit of identification that triggers anxiety and depression and panic attacks and OCD and all of these other kinds of habitual emotional reactions.

So, if you like to really learn how to manage your anxiety and panic attacks better, then please email me. Let's schedule a trial session so you can see for yourself just how effective the mindfulness approach can be.

Visit my Skype counseling website and contact me now to ask your questions about online mindfulness-based psychotherapy via Skype. This service is very effective for anxiety and panic attacks and other anxiety disorders, and depression without the need for medications, which do not change the underlying habits that cause anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

Talk to a therapist online through Skype

If you're struggling with anxiety or depression or addiction or any other common emotional problem then you might want to speak to a therapist online and if you speak to a therapist over Skype you're going to get that added advantage of being able to see each other. And if you can see each other in real time then generally there's no difference between online therapy when compared to seeing a therapist in person. If you can see each other then the quality of communication is just as good in the vast majority of cases.

Really what you want to learn is how to manage your anxiety and depression. You want to learn practical skills for doing this. Good psychotherapy is much more than just talking about your problems and it's also much more than forming some kind of relationship with a therapist.

That is actually not the best approach. In many cases because it tends to make you dependent on that person. What we really are interested in with good psychotherapy is to make you independent of the therapist, is to give you those tools that enable you to manage your emotional well-being yourself, without the need for a therapist, and that's exactly what I teach cheering my online therapy sessions during mindfulness therapy.

So Mindfulness Therapy is a very practical approach. It's a style of psychotherapy that really focuses on teaching you how to fundamentally change the relationship that you have with your emotions and with your thoughts and with memories and with trauma and any other content of mind. And it teaches you how to promote healing of that content when there is suffering involved.

So mindfulness therapy is very focused on healing through developing a very conscious and compassionate relationship with the contents of your mind, especially with the emotions themselves.

In the first part of mindfulness therapy we work on changing thought patterns. We start to break out of that habit of reactive thinking that feeds anxiety or depression.

We understand, of course, that thoughts do not create anxiety or depression, but they do feed it in the same way that fuel feeds a fire. Wood or coal does not cause fire but it feeds a fire if the fire is already there. So learning to manage reactive thinking is a very important part of good psychotherapy.

But we have to go a lot further than that. We have to heal the underlying emotion itself. We have to heal the anxiety or depression or guilt or shame or obsession, whatever it might be that is fueling the reactive thinking. And that's essential for complete recovery.

Working with thoughts alone is not sufficient. Working with emotions alone is often not sufficient. But when you work at both levels then you get really good results and that's what we will be doing during online therapy sessions using mindfulness therapy.

If you would like to learn more about the mindfulness therapy approach, then simply email me. Ask any questions you may have about mindfulness therapy and online therapy and if this is the right approach for you. It is for the vast majority of cases. So if you'd like to get started with online therapy and you like the idea of speaking to a mindfulness-based therapist online via Skype, then please contact me and let's get started.
