Everyone that I have helped over the years really likes the mindfulness approach that I teach for healing emotional suffering…

"Dr. Strong helped me through the most difficult time of my life. I wasn’t able to leave the house for over five months due to crippling anxiety. Dr. Strong was able to help me welcome my anxiety and take care of it in order to heal it. I had always thought anxiety was something to push away and fear, but through meditation and welcoming my anxiety, I learned I can truly enjoy experiences that would otherwise trigger anxiety. Everything else I have tried has not come close to the healing and happiness I have experienced through Dr. Strong’s sessions. He is very kind and honest and I couldn’t have healed my anxiety without him. Every day is different, but even after ending our sessions, his counseling has proved invaluable. Thank you Dr. Strong!"

See an online therapist via Skype for help with anxiety and depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist specializing in Buddhist psychotherapy and specifically Mindfulness Therapy, which I offer via Skype for the treatment of anxiety and depression and for addictions and for help with many other psychological problems using the very well respected and well tested methods of Mindfulness Therapy.

So if you'd like to talk to a therapist online, I invite you to look at my website and then contact me if you have any questions and if you would like to schedule a therapy session with me.

So I offer therapy via Skype, and it's really important that you use some video platform like Skype or Face Time or Zoom so that you can see each other. If you can see each other, then online therapy or teletherapy becomes just as effective as meeting with a therapist in person.

It's not necessary to be in the same room, but it is necessary that you can see each other because that is required for good communication and good communication is central for good psychotherapy. So as long as you can see each other, then being able to work with an online therapist is a very good option for you to consider.

Many people like the convenience offered by online therapy. It's just a lot easier to schedule your sessions. You don't have to travel to a therapist's office. You don't have to leave home so it is much easier to integrate your therapy sessions within your busy schedule.

Another advantage is for people who can't leave home for one reason or another. For example, if you are suffering from agoraphobia, then seeking help from an online therapist becomes really essential. If you're suffering from a driving anxiety disorder or phobia around driving, then also being able to talk to a therapist online is an excellent option to help you work with your anxiety and depression and also to work with your driving anxiety specifically.

I actually get a lot of requests from people suffering from driving anxiety, and the Mindfulness Therapy approach that I specialize in has proven to be very effective indeed for treating anxiety disorders, including driving anxiety and agoraphobia.

So the more important factor is the quality and the style of psychotherapy offered by an online therapist or other therapist, in person. That's much more important than whether you are seeing a therapist online or in person. You have to find the right fit for your needs.

So it's really important when you're selecting a psychotherapist to work with that you use your own intuition, your instincts. You find someone that you trust, that says things that resonate with you. Make sure that you get all your questions answered from your perspective therapist. Again, it doesn't matter whether it's online or in person, they need to be able to make you feel comfortable and confident that what they are offering is right for you.

So Mindfulness Therapy is a way of working very directly with your emotions. It's about promoting inner healing of the inner process that causes anxiety or depression or other forms of emotional suffering. And the primary thing we are looking for in Mindfulness Therapy is to develop more conscious awareness. That's what mindfulness is. It's her way of seeing things clearly without becoming lost in habitual patterns of reactivity.

So the primary issue is not the emotional pain, the core emotion itself, it's the reactivity to it that causes the emotional suffering and that prevents the core emotion from healing.

So Mindfulness Therapy is about developing a very direct, conscious, mindful relationship with the underlying emotions that are affecting your experience, that are determining the quality of your life, that are affecting your well-being.

So if you'd like to learn more about how to apply mindfulness for healing, do please contact me. And if you like the idea of being able to talk to a therapist online using Skype, then please reach out to me and schedule a Skype therapy session.

This approach is very effective and most, if not all of my clients benefit immensely from learning how to meditate on their emotions to promote healing. And that can be very specific emotions like agoraphobia and driving anxiety and working with emotional trauma.

I also work with intrusive thoughts and intrusive memories. These are also psychological processes based on blind, habitual reactivity that really benefit tremendously from the application of mindfulness meditation and Mindfulness Therapy.

So please contact me if this interests you and schedule a Skype Therapy session. Thank you.

Conventional talk therapy can be beneficial, but often it does not alter the the underlying process that creates your anxiety and depression.

This also applies to the use of medications - the anti-anxiety medication may reduce symptoms for a while, but medications will not are not effective for healing the underlying process that generates your anxiety or depression.

The school of psychotherapy that I teach online is called Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very powerful for overcoming chronic anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression or other common psychological issues resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most of my students see quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online psychotherapist. If you would like to talk to a psychotherapist online do please go to my website and send me an email and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

I have been offering online psychotherapy for many years now and have seen tremendous benefits for my clients. There is no doubt that the online therapy format using Skype is just as effective as in-person psychotherapy, especially for the style of therapy that I offer, which is called Mindfulness Therapy.

This is dependent less on developing a relationship with your therapist and more on teaching you practical skills that you can use to overcome difficult emotions such as chronic anxiety or depression. And that, I feel is the most important thing - to give you the tools that will help you overcome your specific emotional problems, and that can be taught very well online.

So, Mindfulness Therapy is a way of working with emotions like anxiety and depression, or addiction or compulsion or phobias or panic attacks. It's a way of working with difficult emotions by essentially changing the habit of the way that we react to these emotions.

So, emotions get triggered by thoughts or by external events and then we get lost in the conditioned reactions that ensue.

As Victor Frankl said in his famous quote, there is a space between stimulus and reaction and in that space there is choice. That space is what we develop during mindfulness training. It is the space of consciousness. It is the space that opens up when we become mindful of the triggers that trigger our anxiety or depression or compulsion, and the subjective emotional reactions that are conditioned to those triggers.

We can become mindful of both, both the triggers and our habitual reactions. When you become mindful you break that chain of reactivity that feeds and reinforces anxiety or depression, and that is a very important step. The most important step of all, really, is to break that habit that feeds and proliferates emotional suffering.

When you develop a conscious and mindful relationship with your anxiety or depression then that brings in the other factor associated with consciousness, which is choice - Choice to respond to your anxiety, or to the triggers, or to negative thought patterns, or negative behaviors - the choice to respond in ways that are not reactive but are imbued with natural innate intelligence.

You can begin to change those patterns into more positive patterns if you have choice, and that is the second factor of Mindfulness Therapy. It is a way of developing more choice in how you relate to your mind and to the triggers that triggered those emotional reactions.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy over Skype.

Many people like to talk to a therapist over Skype rather than in-person because it is more comfortable as well as more convenient.

If you are suffering from anxiety, for example, then you will probably find it much more effective to talk to a therapist over Skype than in person because you will be more comfortable and open to incorporating the changes and advice that the psychotherapist offers you.

So, this is one of the main reasons why I have chosen to specialize in online therapy over Skype, because it is more effective for most people, especially if you are suffering from anxiety. But I also offer therapy over Skype for depression, and Skype therapy for addictions as well.

The same kind of principles apply here - People suffering from depression are often uncomfortable talking about their depression to a psychotherapist in-person. So, being able to talk to a therapist over Skype is going to be much, much easier for you.

Also, people suffering from an addiction are often uncomfortable talking about their addiction in a group format. So, having private sessions with an online therapist can be much more effective there as well.

If you would like to learn more about talking to a therapist online over Skype, simply go to my website and learn more about online therapy. When you feel ready, contact me. Simply email me and I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the online psychotherapy process.

Talk to a Therapist Online - Learn How to Overcome Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Learn how to better manage anxiety or depression. The most important key to overcoming anxiety and panic attacks is to break the habit of reactive identification with emotions and thoughts when they get triggered. Mindfulness training is the best approach for doing this.

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional online therapist specializing in mindfulness therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression without the use of medications. This is a non-medical approach and it's based on the teachings of mindfulness therapy.

This is a system that I developed many years ago and I've been offering online for many years and proves to be very effective indeed for working with anxiety and panic attacks and depression and many other common emotional problems that benefit from mindfulness training.

If you'd like to talk to a therapist online to learn how to manage your anxiety and panic attacks better, then please go to my website and email me to schedule a session. You will be quite surprised at how quickly you can overcome anxiety and also panic attacks once you start applying mindfulness. It's a really remarkable set of tools that helps you prevent that problem that we call Reactive Identification, which is really at the center of anxiety reactivity for most people.

The problem is that we become identified with our anxiety, we collapse into our anxiety, we become captured by our anxiety, we become prisoners of our anxiety, and this process is called Reactive Identification, and it's basically simply a habit. Now with mindfulness training you will learn how to stop this habit so that you can essentially become an OBSERVER of your anxiety and other emotions.

You become an observer of your thoughts without becoming identified and overwhelmed by them. This is a key step that's necessary for changing the habits of anxiety panic attacks and also for depression.

You have to break free from the habit of becoming overwhelmed by emotional reactivity and also cognitive reactivity. You have to learn to maintain balance in relationship to the mind. This is much easier than you might think. The problem, simply, is that most people are not given the guidance in how to do this.

Talking therapy can be useful but often it simply does not help you break free from that problem of reactive identification. Also, medications do little to nothing to change the underlying habit of identification that triggers anxiety and depression and panic attacks and OCD and all of these other kinds of habitual emotional reactions.

So, if you like to really learn how to manage your anxiety and panic attacks better, then please email me. Let's schedule a trial session so you can see for yourself just how effective the mindfulness approach can be.

Visit my Skype counseling website and contact me now to ask your questions about online mindfulness-based psychotherapy via Skype. This service is very effective for anxiety and panic attacks and other anxiety disorders, and depression without the need for medications, which do not change the underlying habits that cause anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

Speak to a Psychotherapist via Skype

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist. I live in Boulder Colorado, but I offer online therapy worldwide to anyone who's interested in mindfulness therapy. That's my specialty, that's what I have developed over the years and found to be most effective for treating anxiety and depression and other common emotional and psychological problems that don't require medical treatment.

It's obviously very convenient to do online therapy. It means you can have your sessions from home or even from work without having to travel to see a therapist in their office. Many people also prefer the greater sense of privacy that you have when you are able to conduct your psychotherapy sessions from home. It feels more comfortable, it's less intimidating, less clinical in nature.

The whole focus of mindfulness therapy, which is style of psychotherapy that I teach online, is to teach you how to work with your emotions using mindfulness and develop very effective and practical methods of working with difficult recurring emotional suffering and also with intrusive thoughts or any other form of emotional suffering that you're dealing with.

We want to learn to develop tools to manage our emotional well-being. It's much preferable to do this than it is to rely on medications or other treatment based approaches. Medications and treatments may provide a temporary relief from symptoms but it's not going to change the underlying psychological process that's producing your emotional suffering.

Mindfulness Therapy is a very effective approach. It is the next step up from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. So CBT is good because it helps you learn how to manage thoughts. But the question is what is it that drives those thoughts to be so powerful in the mind? What is it that makes those thoughts intrusive and what is it that causes those thoughts to feed more and more anxiety or depression?

And that is what we address in mindfulness therapy. So thoughts themselves are not a problem and the same goes for beliefs. Beliefs in themselves are not the problem.

The problem is this, if you like, compulsive energy that feeds those thoughts or beliefs and that's what we focus on with mindfulness therapy, because when you can neutralize that compulsive energy then the thoughts and beliefs drop away upon themselves and are replaced quite naturally by more positive thoughts and beliefs. The only thing that keeps them stuck is this unresolved emotional energy that's feeding those thoughts and beliefs.

So we change this by learning how to identify that compulsive energy which is usually based around fear. So we find that fear and we learn to develop a very mindful and that means a very compassionate relationship with the fear itself. We focus on helping that fear resolve and heal. When it's resolved and healed then it no longer fuels the reactive thoughts and rumination and worrying and obsessive thinking that fuels your anxiety or depression.

We learn to develop a relationship with our emotions by actually meditating on our emotions.

Most of us spend our time running away from our emotions. We don't like painful emotions. we don't like anxiety or depression or fear. But if you avoid your fear it will simply grows stronger or it will not heal. If you try to suppress your fear, the same, it will not resolve, it will not heal. It's more likely to grow.

But when you bring conscious mindful and compassionate awareness to your fear then you create the correct conditions that allow that fear to heal. So we build a very strong internal conscious relationship with our fear and we do this through the medium of meditation. We meditate on our fear. This is what helps it heal.

If you would like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and the mindfulness approach to healing your anxiety or depression without using medication and without having to spend years in conventional talk therapy then please email me so we can schedule an online therapy session.
