Talk to a Therapist Online via Skype or Zoom for Anxiety or Depression

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. If you would like to talk to a therapist online, the best way to do that is to find a therapist who offers Skype therapy sessions. Skype allows you to talk in real time and it's really equivalent to meeting face-to-face in the therapist's office, but of course, it's much more convenient for you because you don't have to leave your home or office, or if you are traveling it's much easier to talk to a therapist via Skype and continue your sessions wherever you live.

So, talking to a therapist through Skype or Zoom is one of the most effective ways to get ongoing help for managing difficult emotional problems such as chronic anxiety, depression, and also for help with addictions as well.

Many of my clients live abroad or they live in the rural areas of the US and find it difficult to find a local therapist to help them work with anxiety, depression, addictions or other emotional problems.

So, if you are interested in learning more about talking to a therapist online via Skype or Zoom, do please visit my website, which is counselingtherapyonline.com, and also visit my YouTube channel and subscribe and learn more about the Mindfulness Therapy approach that I offer via Skype.

People search for this form of therapy as an alternative to the older style of talk therapy, which may help with relieving symptoms but it does very little to change the underlying cause of your anxiety, depression or addiction. The system of Mindfulness Therapy that I developed many years ago now and talk about in my book, 'The Path of Mindfulness Meditation', is very much focused on helping you change your underlying relationship to the very process that creates anxiety or depression.

The central theme of Mindfulness Therapy is learning how to break the habit of becoming identified and overwhelmed by habitual reactive thinking and by reactive emotions. We tend to get lost in our thoughts and our emotional habits and this simply feeds the emotional problem whether it's anxiety, depression or addiction.

So, that's what I focus on in the online therapy sessions that I offer via Skype. Please feel free to contact me through email and we can discuss further how Mindfulness Therapy and the online therapy approach can help you manage your emotions more effectively. I look forward to hearing from you.

Skype with a psychotherapist online for anxiety and depression

If you would like to talk with a therapist online I encourage you to go to my website and learn more about online therapy.

So being able to talk with a therapist online is very convenient of course. It means that you can have your therapy sessions without having to leave home or without having to leave work. All you need is a quiet place and a good internet connection and a copy of Skype installed on your device, whether that's a laptop or computer or mobile phone.

People like the convenience of being able to talk with a psychotherapist online. I've been offering this online therapy service for over 10 years now and it's very, very popular indeed because of this convenience.

There are many other advantages to being able to see a therapist online. And that includes the fact that it makes you feel more comfortable and it makes you feel more in control of your change process. And this is very important.

If you're working with difficult emotions, if you're working with extreme anxiety or depression or if you're struggling with an addiction it's important that you feel and gain more and more control in working with these emotions.

So actually the process of going into a therapist's office can actually make you feel less empowered and makes you feel more like a victim rather than making you feel more in charge. So this is an important factor. This is why I don't advocate treatment based approaches in general, including medications, because they don't give you the tools that you need to overcome your anxiety or depression.

You have to work at the psychological level to do that, if you really want to heal. You have to change the underlying habitual processes that causes your emotional suffering. And that's what I focus on during these online Mindfulness Therapy sessions that I offer via Skype and Zoom.

I will teach you how to work with your emotions so that you don't become controlled by them. I will teach you how to develop a conscious relationship with your emotions and thoughts without becoming a victim of your emotional reactivity.

Emotional reactivity such as anxiety or depression or addiction is, at the end of the day, nothing more than a very strong and ingrained psychological habit and habits can be trained to change by using tools like mindfulness, where we actually focus mindful attention on the habit itself.

The very process of observing your emotions actually helps you break free from your emotions because you establish a conscious relationship and habits work unconsciously, they depend on you not forming a conscious relationship with your emotions.

So this is one aspect of Mindfulness Therapy that's really important for successful change. If you really want to break free from your emotional suffering then you need to learn how to apply mindfulness to work with those emotions.

If you would like to learn more about talking with an online mindfulness therapist, then go to my website. Talk to a therapist online via Skype or Zoom

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional online therapist and I provide online therapy for anxiety for depression, for addictions and other common psychological problems that can benefit from Mindfulness Therapy, which is my specialty.

So I'm often asked, "Can I talk to a therapist online?" and the answer is yes you can as long as you are looking for a therapist that can help you manage your emotional problems using psychological techniques like mindfulness rather than medications. You can't receive prescription meds medications online of course.

However most people who are seeking online therapy have already tried medications and traditional talk therapy usually with very poor results.

Most people who come to me are looking for an alternative to conventional style psychotherapy and medications. They are looking for practical tools for managing anxiety and depression or addiction, and Mindfulness Therapy provides these solutions. It gives you very practical ways of working with your mind. It teaches you how to work with emotions and react to thinking without using medications, and it's very effective indeed.

Most people who work with me can expect to see significant improvements within the first three to four sessions of online therapy. The key is learning how to change the way that you relate to your mind. You have to develop a different relationship with your emotions, that's not based on avoidance or some form of self-criticism or self judgment or even based on some concept that these emotions are irrational.

Emotions are not irrational. They are mental formations that are formed for very good reasons, typically starting in childhood. They just get stuck, basically, and are not able to heal properly.

Mindfulness Therapy gives you the ability to continue the healing process of these emotional formations that have gotten stuck and it does this by bringing conscious awareness to the emotion.

You learn how to meditate on your emotions. This is quite new for many people. Most people are trying to escape their emotions or try to suppress them in some way, but that simply will not work. Those emotions must heal in order for you to be free from anxiety or depression or addiction.

If you'd like to learn more about the Mindfulness Therapy approach for healing emotional suffering, then please contact me so we can schedule an online therapy session.

Like I say, most people see quite substantial changes within the first few sessions of mindfulness training. So if you'd like to learn more about this approach and you like the idea of working with an online therapist because of its convenience, then please email me and we can schedule an online therapy session at a time that works for you.

I see people throughout North America, Canada, Western Europe, the UK and as far away as Japan. So please contact me now.

Talk to an Online Therapist to Overcome Anxiety & Depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist based in Boulder, Colorado, USA and I offer online therapy via Skype.

So, if you would like to speak to a therapist online through Skype, then please go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and feel free to contact me via the Contact Page and ask any questions you may have about the online therapy service that I provide.

Online psychotherapy is a very good choice if you use Skype or Zoom. You need to use a video platform like that so you can see each other. Being able to see each other greatly enhances the quality of communication, which is clearly very important for effective psychotherapy.

If you can see each other, then there's really no difference at all between online therapy using Skype compared to meeting in person with a psychotherapist. So that is one of the reasons why I recommend that if you are considering speaking with a therapist online that you make sure that you can do it using Skype. Then it is a very good choice and it's a very good way of getting non-medical help for the treatment of anxiety and depression.

So I work a lot with people suffering from agoraphobia, for example, who can't travel to see a therapist in their office. So that is one of the advantages of being able to get access to a therapist without leaving home.

I also work a great deal with people suffering from some form of driving anxiety or highway driving phobia. Quite a large number of people are not able to drive to see a therapist.

Not surprisingly, I also see a lot of people abroad, living in areas where they don't have access to a psychotherapist.

I also work with people in small communities where you may want the greater privacy offered by online therapy. That's another one of the advantages of speaking to a therapist through Skype; it is very much more confidential and greater privacy offered.

The other advantage of online therapy is that it is generally a lot less expensive when compared to meeting in person. Although typically you're not able to get insurance reimbursement for online therapy. And I don't work with insurance companies, I provide a non-medical service.

But for many people, they actually prefer not making a medical insurance claim because they prefer not having it on their records.

So there are lots of different reasons for seeking private psychotherapy. But the main thing is whenever you're selecting an online therapist, that you make sure that you ask questions and that you have some sort of guarantee that the quality of psychotherapy is going to be effective for you. So I would never pay up front for online therapy, but I would also not recommend that for in-person therapy either.

You want to see results as the first important thing. And that's why I choose to offer a satisfaction-based guarantee for all my online therapy services. And there's no upfront fee. Maybe you don't like the therapy, you don't find it useful, then there's no fee.

So the style of psychotherapy that I provide online is called Mindfulness Therapy. And this is a very good way of working with anxiety and depression without resorting to medications. In fact, I really discourage the use of medications because medications are not going to treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression.

They may be useful on a short-term basis for controlling symptoms, but that's hardly enough. You have to really work on changing the underlying psychological cause of your anxiety or depression or or any other form of emotional suffering. So that is the prime focus of Mindfulness Therapy. It's a way of helping you change the relationship that you have with your emotions.

And so healing or transforming that underlying psychological process is what Mindfulness Therapy is all about.

So if you would like to schedule some online therapy sessions with me over Skype, then please contact me and we can find the right time that works for you.

I see people worldwide, mostly in the United States, but also in Western Europe and further away, as far away as Australia.

So please contact me if you are interested in really healing your emotional suffering by using Mindfulness Therapy. Thank you.
