Online Psychotherapy for Treating Anxiety and Depression

Online Psychotherapy for Treating Anxiety and Depression

Psychological counseling via Skype

Please feel free to contact me by email to find out more about Skype therapy sessions with me.

During these sessions of Mindfulness Therapy I will teach you how to apply mindfulness for recovering from all forms of anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, chronic depression, and for help with and other emotional problems, by using the very effective teachings of Mindfulness Meditation Therapy.

This approach is very effective and you can expect to notice noticeable results after the first few Skype sessions with me.

Online Mindfulness Therapy is very effective for stopping anxiety and depression without using anti-anxiety medications and antidepressants. It is better to treat the underlying psychological cause of your psychological suffering as opposed to just managing symptoms.

The main healing factors developed during Mindfulness Therapy are Consciousness, which is vital for neutralizing the reactive psychological habits that cause psychological suffering, and Inner Compassion, which is what facilitates healing and resolution of anxiety and depression.

"I found Peter’s website serendipitously and I can honestly say that I have had excellent results in six sessions utilizing Peter’s approach which, while based in the teachings of the Buddha, are fully compatible with any religion or philosophy."

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I am a professional psychotherapist specializing in mindfulness therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression. If you are looking for online therapy sessions in the USA then please go to my website and learn more about the online therapy service that I offer throughout North America and also worldwide.

The style of online therapy sessions that I offer is really designed to teach you very practical mindfulness based methods for overcoming those patterns of habitual reactive thinking that trap us in the habitual emotional reactivity of anxiety and depression and other common emotional psychological problems that we may experience.

So the real root cause of anxiety and depression is this process by which we become identified with the reactive thoughts and the reactive emotions that get triggered in the mind. We become captivated by these emotional habits, and it's rather like falling in a river. We get swept away by reactive thinking and further emotional reactivity.

Mindfulness training teaches us how to maintain our balance, how to sit on the bank of the river instead of falling in. This is a very important concept because no matter how strong the river is, if you are secure on the bank then that river cannot hurt you. And it's exactly the same with our emotions and with reactive thoughts. If you can maintain the position of being the OBSERVER of your emotions and thoughts then they have no power at all to cause you emotional suffering. You can learn to observe them, to sit with your mind without becoming lost in your mind, without becoming lost in habitual patterns of reactive thinking and habitual emotional reactivity. This is a very important skill that we teach in great detail during the mindfulness online therapy sessions that I offer over Skype.

If you'd like to learn more about the mindfulness approach for breaking free from anxiety and depression then please go to my website, learn more about the process, and then send me an email and we can schedule an online therapy session at a time that works for you. Most of my clients live within North America but I also see lots of people in Western Europe and further afield. All you need is a good internet connection and PayPal to make your online payments for therapy sessions and you're ready to begin.

So please email me if you have any questions or if you are ready to schedule Skype therapy session. Thank you.

See a Psychotherapist Online via Skype for highly effective online treatment for Anxiety and Depression

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. If you would like to talk to a therapist online, the best way to do that is to find a therapist who offers Skype therapy sessions. Skype allows you to talk in real time and it's really equivalent to meeting face-to-face in the therapist's office, but of course, it's much more convenient for you because you don't have to leave your home or office, or if you are traveling it's much easier to talk to a therapist via Skype and continue your sessions wherever you live.

So, talking to a therapist through Skype is one of the most effective ways to get ongoing help for managing difficult emotional problems such as chronic anxiety, depression, and also for help with addictions as well.

Many of my clients live abroad or they live in the rural areas of the US and find it difficult to find a local therapist to help them work with anxiety, depression, addictions or other emotional problems.

So, if you are interested in learning more about talking to a therapist online via Skype, do please visit my website, which is counselingtherapyonline.com, and also visit my YouTube channel and subscribe and learn more about the Mindfulness Therapy approach that I offer via Skype.

People search for this form of therapy as an alternative to the older style of talk therapy, which may help with relieving symptoms but it does very little to change the underlying cause of your anxiety, depression or addiction. The system of Mindfulness Therapy that I developed many years ago now and talk about in my book, 'The Path of Mindfulness Meditation', is very much focused on helping you change your underlying relationship to the very process that creates anxiety or depression.

The central theme of Mindfulness Therapy is learning how to break the habit of becoming identified and overwhelmed by habitual reactive thinking and by reactive emotions. We tend to get lost in our thoughts and our emotional habits and this simply feeds the emotional problem whether it's anxiety, depression or addiction.

So, that's what I focus on in the online therapy sessions that I offer via Skype. Please feel free to contact me through email and we can discuss further how Mindfulness Therapy and the online therapy approach can help you manage your emotions more effectively. I look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional psychotherapist and I offer online therapy over Skype.

Many people like to talk to a therapist over Skype rather than in-person because it is more comfortable as well as more convenient.

If you are suffering from anxiety, for example, then you will probably find it much more effective to talk to a therapist over Skype than in person because you will be more comfortable and open to incorporating the changes and advice that the psychotherapist offers you.

So, this is one of the main reasons why I have chosen to specialize in online therapy over Skype, because it is more effective for most people, especially if you are suffering from anxiety. But I also offer therapy over Skype for depression, and Skype therapy for addictions as well.

The same kind of principles apply here - People suffering from depression are often uncomfortable talking about their depression to a psychotherapist in-person. So, being able to talk to a therapist over Skype is going to be much, much easier for you.

Also, people suffering from an addiction are often uncomfortable talking about their addiction in a group format. So, having private sessions with an online therapist can be much more effective there as well.

If you would like to learn more about talking to a therapist online over Skype, simply go to my website and learn more about online therapy. When you feel ready, contact me. Simply email me and I will be happy to answer any questions you have about the online psychotherapy process.

If you would like to schedule a Skype therapy session with me, simply email me and we can arrange for a trial Skype therapy session. A trial session is a very good way of assessing if this is the right approach for you. Traditional counseling can be useful, but often it does not look at the underlying psychological process that is the real cause of your emotional suffering.

This also applies to the use of medications - a drug may provide temporary relief from symptoms for a while, but medications are not effective for transforming the underlying psychological process that causes your emotional pain.

The style of psychotherapy that I teach online is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is quite successful for handling chronic anxiety and for treating chronic depression and other common psychological difficulties caused by conditioned negative thinking. Most of my students notice measurable reduction in the level of anxiety and depression after the first couple of sessions of Skype Therapy.

If you are experiencing anxiety or panic attacks or depression you may consider talking to a therapist online. Seeing a therapist online is a very good and very convenient way of getting help and it's generally a lot less intimidating than going to see a therapist in person. So if you'd like to talk to a therapist online do please go to my website and then learn more about this process of Skype counseling that I offer and then e-mail me and we can schedule a time when we can have an online therapy session.

So the advantages of talking to a therapist online, as I said are ones of convenience and also it's much more comfortable for you. But it also helps you develop a better understanding of how to work with the mind.

So during the online therapy sessions I teach you very effective mindfulness-based methods for working with anxiety and depression. Most of my clients suffer from either anxiety or depression and they benefit tremendously when they start practicing the mindfulness techniques that I teach.

The central most important thing is to learn how to develop a conscious and friendly relationship with your emotions. The biggest mistake that I see over and over again is that people develop an aversion to their anxiety or depression, they run away from their emotions or they find them or they react to their anxiety with anger or hostility or resistance or self-criticism, etc.

The process of reactivity feeds the anxiety or depression. It only begins to change when you change your relationship to your emotions, so that's why it's so important to develop conscious and frankly relationship with your emotions. Then you create the right conditions in which they can change.

And this is the whole basis of mindfulness therapy we learned to actually meditate on our anxiety and on how depression and any other emotions or thoughts that create suffering in the mind. We learned to develop balance in relationship to our emotions and our thoughts.

Learn how to break free from this process of habitual reactivity that feeds the anxiety or depression. When you do that then you stop feeding the fire of the anxiety or depression or any other emotion. When you stop feeding it, it begins to change and it begins to heal. So the second part of mindfulness therapy is learning how to help it heal, how to help your anxiety or depression heal itself.

And I will teach you exactly how to do this during these online therapy sessions. So, if you'd like to talk to a therapist online and you'd like to learn more about online psychotherapy in general, then please go to my website, and when you are ready to start you can email me and we can schedule a Skype therapy session. Thank you.

Get help from an online therapist for overcoming anxiety and depression

Welcome. My name is Peter Strong. I'm a professional psychotherapist. I live in Boulder Colorado, but I offer online therapy worldwide to anyone who's interested in mindfulness therapy. That's my specialty, that's what I have developed over the years and found to be most effective for treating anxiety and depression and other common emotional and psychological problems that don't require medical treatment.

It's obviously very convenient to do online therapy. It means you can have your sessions from home or even from work without having to travel to see a therapist in their office. Many people also prefer the greater sense of privacy that you have when you are able to conduct your psychotherapy sessions from home. It feels more comfortable, it's less intimidating, less clinical in nature.

The whole focus of mindfulness therapy, which is style of psychotherapy that I teach online, is to teach you how to work with your emotions using mindfulness and develop very effective and practical methods of working with difficult recurring emotional suffering and also with intrusive thoughts or any other form of emotional suffering that you're dealing with.

We want to learn to develop tools to manage our emotional well-being. It's much preferable to do this than it is to rely on medications or other treatment based approaches. Medications and treatments may provide a temporary relief from symptoms but it's not going to change the underlying psychological process that's producing your emotional suffering.

Mindfulness Therapy is a very effective approach. It is the next step up from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. So CBT is good because it helps you learn how to manage thoughts. But the question is what is it that drives those thoughts to be so powerful in the mind? What is it that makes those thoughts intrusive and what is it that causes those thoughts to feed more and more anxiety or depression?

And that is what we address in mindfulness therapy. So thoughts themselves are not a problem and the same goes for beliefs. Beliefs in themselves are not the problem.

The problem is this, if you like, compulsive energy that feeds those thoughts or beliefs and that's what we focus on with mindfulness therapy, because when you can neutralize that compulsive energy then the thoughts and beliefs drop away upon themselves and are replaced quite naturally by more positive thoughts and beliefs. The only thing that keeps them stuck is this unresolved emotional energy that's feeding those thoughts and beliefs.

So we change this by learning how to identify that compulsive energy which is usually based around fear. So we find that fear and we learn to develop a very mindful and that means a very compassionate relationship with the fear itself. We focus on helping that fear resolve and heal. When it's resolved and healed then it no longer fuels the reactive thoughts and rumination and worrying and obsessive thinking that fuels your anxiety or depression.

We learn to develop a relationship with our emotions by actually meditating on our emotions.

Most of us spend our time running away from our emotions. We don't like painful emotions. we don't like anxiety or depression or fear. But if you avoid your fear it will simply grows stronger or it will not heal. If you try to suppress your fear, the same, it will not resolve, it will not heal. It's more likely to grow.

But when you bring conscious mindful and compassionate awareness to your fear then you create the correct conditions that allow that fear to heal. So we build a very strong internal conscious relationship with our fear and we do this through the medium of meditation. We meditate on our fear. This is what helps it heal.

If you would like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and the mindfulness approach to healing your anxiety or depression without using medication and without having to spend years in conventional talk therapy then please email me so we can schedule an online therapy session.
