Skype therapy is a very effective way of working with anxiety and depression and also other emotional problems that you may be experiencing, and it is available, of course, wherever you live, whether that is in the US or abroad.


I see people all over the world, and particularly people who are interested in Mindfulness Therapy, which is the particular style of therapy that I offer online and that works extremely well for anxiety and depression.


Basically, during these online therapy sessions, what I will be teaching you is how to work with your emotions and how to develop more space in that relationship with your emotions and with your thoughts, so that you can break the habit of becoming overwhelmed or consumed by your thoughts or emotions.


The biggest problem that we face is this problem of reactive identification, where we literally become consumed by our thoughts or emotions; and when that happens, they simply grow stronger.


What mindfulness teaches us is how to essentially sit with your emotions or thoughts without becoming consumed by them. This allows you to develop what we call "emotional independence" from your thoughts or emotions. This is the first step to healing. If you want to change anxiety you have to be able to sit with your anxiety consciously, without becoming reactive. When you can do that, then you can actually begin to change the anxiety itself, working with its internal image structure, which I will talk to you more about during our sessions.


But, when you change how you see the emotion in the mind, when you change its image structure, then you change the emotion itself, directly. So, that is one part of mindfulness therapy.
