Conventional talk therapy can be helpful, but often common talk therapy does not alter the underlying structure that is the real cause of your emotional suffering.

The same can be said for medications - prescription medications may relieve symptoms for a while, but medications can not heal the underlying process that causes your emotional suffering. You need to address this underlying cause through psychotherapy if you want long-term change and you want to gain freedom from your emptional suffering.

Talk to a Mindfulness-based Psychotherapist Online

The style of psychotherapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is quite effective for controlling chronic anxiety and for treating chronic depression or other emotional issues caused by conditioned reactive thinking. Most people notice significant reduction in the level of anxiety and depression after 3-4 sessions of Skype Therapy.

If you're interested in online psychotherapy and counseling to help you overcome anxiety or depression or an addiction or any other emotional problem, you might consider talking to a therapist online. Being able to talk to a therapist online is really quite an effective way of getting the help that you need to to manage difficult emotional problems. I see clients online on a daily basis and have done so for many years now and it's definitely just as effective to speak to a therapist online as it is to see the therapist in-person.

The focus of the online therapy service that I offer is to teach you practical ways of managing difficult emotions. The principal habit that most people experience is one of becoming identified with emotions and with reactive thoughts. We tend to get lost in these patterns of habitual reactivity that simply feed our anxiety or depression, so the the most essential step in successful psychotherapy is to learn how to break the cycle of reactive identification, to be able to become the observer of your emotions and thoughts without becoming lost in them.

This is essential because if you continue to simply become lost in thoughts or emotions or emotional trauma then you simply reinforce the underlying emotions. During mindfulness therapy, which is what I specialize in, we learn exactly how to do this, how to become the observer and how to develop independence in relationship to our emotions. This is the most important step for producing change.

If you like to see a therapist online and learn some of the mindfulness techniques that I teach to please go to my website and email me. We can schedule a Skype counseling session at a time that works for you. I see people throughout North America and abroad in Europe and the Middle East and as far away as New Zealand.

So if you are interested in learning how to overcome the patterns of emotional reactivity and you'd like to talk to a therapist online please email me and we can schedule a session. Thank you.

Applications of Online Therapy

People report that they greatly appreciate the convenience of Online Therapy, especially when it is provided via Skype or other video platform. Most of my clients come to me for help with the following:

Being able to talk to a psychotherapist online via Skype is also a wonderful option if you are living abroad or if you live in a rural area. There are now many online psychotherapists to choose from. Generally, I recommend that you interview the psychotherapist via email or an introductory Skype session to make sure that the therapist is a good match for you and that you feel comfortable talking to him or her.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional psychotherapist living in Boulder, Colorado, and I offer Online Psychotherapy via Skype. Please contact me if you would like to speak with a therapist online.

Online therapy is a very convenient service if you live in a rural area or if you live abroad, or if you really prefer the convenience of being able to talk to a psychotherapist online via Skype. Most people prefer the greater privacy and anonymity of online therapy.

ONLINE MINDFULNESS THERAPY

So, the style of psychotherapy that I provide and is described on my online therapy website is called Mindfulness Therapy. Now, this is a very exciting and very unique way of working with difficult emotions, including anxiety, depression and trauma. Mindfulness-based therapy is certainly one of the best approaches for overcoming anxiety and depression.

The Mindfulness approach is one of learning how to sit with your emotions, how to be present with your emotions without becoming reactive. It's the reactivity that stops emotions from healing, from changing and transforming. Mindfulness teaches us how to be with our emotions without becoming reactive, without becoming overwhelmed by the emotion, without becoming consumed by it. During our online therapy sessions I will teach you exactly how to do this.

Mindfulness Therapy is very good for working with anxiety and depression, or emotional stress or trauma, as I said. It is also very good for working with addictions. Addictions, as you know, are driven by very strong compulsive emotions, and to break free of these emotions requires that you learn how to sit with those same compulsive emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. This is a skill that I teach during online psychotherapy sessions.

Online Therapy is becoming increasingly popular these days since most of us have a computer and access to the internet.

Skype, if you don't already know, is a free service that allows you to make video calls from one computer to another. In my experience, this is one of the best ways to talk to a therapist online. It feels the same as seeing a therapist in the office, except that you, the client, can call from home or from the office, or even from a hotel room if you are traveling.

Most people feel much more comfortable and relaxed calling from home, and it is certainly less embarrassing than waiting in the therapist's office. This is an important consideration if you are suffering from Social Anxiety or Agoraphobia. In fact, if you suffer from agoraphobia, then online therapy may be the only realistic alternative.

You may also live abroad, or live in a rural area in the US where there are no local therapists available, or that you would feel comfortable talking to.

TALK TO A THERAPIST ONLINE VIA SKYPE

Talking to an Online Therapist via Skype is also a great option for people who are a little uncomfortable with therapy and counseling in general. The internet option gives you more of a sense of power; that you have more control over the process.

The style of Online Therapy that I provide is called Mindfulness Therapy, a modern form of CBT, or Cognitive Therapy, that focuses on teaching you how to break free of those habitual patterns of emotional reactivity that cause our anxiety, depression and emotional stress. It is also a very compassionate approach that teaches you how to heal core emotions that have remained unresolved.

Talk to an Online Therapist to Overcome Anxiety & Depression

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I’m a professional online therapist specializing in Mindfulness Therapy for the treatment of anxiety and depression, OCD, panic attacks and other emotional problems that don’t require medication. If you’d like to talk to an online therapist to help you overcome anxiety or depression I encourage you to contact me. Go to my website and learn more about this online therapy service and then reach out to me by email and we can discuss in more detail how Mindfulness Therapy can help you.

So, talking to an online therapist is becoming very popular as an alternative to traditional in-person psychotherapy. One of his greatest advantages is, of course, it’s convenience. It means that you can conduct your therapy sessions from home, and that convenience also brings a great deal of comfort for you. It means that you feel more at ease and are better able to learn the principles that I will teach you during our therapy sessions together.

So, during therapy sessions I will teach you very practical and very effective mindfulness-based methods of working with emotions, of working with anxiety and depression or addiction or any other emotion that is causing suffering.

The first principle that we will explore together is how to apply mindfulness for working with difficult emotions, how to actually meditate on your emotions, how to establish a conscious relationship with your emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them and without becoming caught up in those patterns of habitual reactive thinking and rumination that feeds anxiety and depression. This is a very powerful skill to learn.

It takes some training but with good guidance you can learn how to change the way that you relate to your emotions and this is quite central to change. If you keep reacting to your anxiety or depression or impulses, n the case of an addiction, then you simply feed that emotional suffering. But if you can sit with an emotion without reacting to it then you stop feeding that emotion. You take the fuel away and then the emotion is able to change and heal according to its own nature.

All emotional suffering is already trying to heal itself. This is a property of emotional suffering. You can think of it as being an energetic state that is unstable, that is out of balance, and anything that is out of balance in Nature always tries to come back to a state of energetic balance.

This is a fundamental principle and it’s very strong in living beings, including ourselves. We run on that principle of what we call “homeostasis.” The mind and the body responds to states of instability, states of imbalance and always tries to bring it back to balance, to stability, to restore that sense of well-being in the body and mind.

So, this principle of homeostasis works in the mind as well as the body. And this is why we say that emotions are already trying to heal themselves, to come into a state of balance. But they cannot heal if you feed them with reactivity.

So the first principle of mindfulness training is learning to sit with your emotions without reacting. And then we can actually begin the process of healing that emotion, whatever it is. The healing happens when we create a non-reactive and safe space around that emotion, if you like.

So this is one of the most fundamental principles in Mindfulness Therapy, the system of psychotherapy that I developed some years ago. And you’ll see many different versions of mindfulness-based therapy out there, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and they are all slightly different.

But Mindfulness Therapy or Mindfulness Meditation Therapy, as I originally called it and talk about in my book, is learning to be with your emotions without reacting and then interacting with your emotions in a way that facilitates their healing.

So if you’d like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and you’d like to talk to an online therapist, if you would like to use that medium for getting the help that you need for overcoming your anxiety or depression, please email me. Ask any questions you might have. And let’s schedule a trial therapy session so you can see for yourself just how effective Mindfulness Therapy can be and also how effective talking to an online therapist can be for healing emotional suffering, and without using prescription medications. Thank you.

Conventional talk therapy can be beneficial, but often it does not alter the the underlying process that creates your anxiety and depression.

This also applies to the use of medications - the anti-anxiety medication may reduce symptoms for a while, but medications  will not are not effective for healing the underlying process that generates your anxiety or depression.

The school of psychotherapy that I teach online is called Mindfulness Therapy, which can be very powerful for overcoming chronic anxiety as well as for treating chronic depression or other common psychological issues resulting from conditioned negative thinking. Most of my students see quite significant changes after the first couple of sessions of Mindfulness Therapy.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online psychotherapist. If you would like to talk to a psychotherapist online do please go to my website and send me an email and then we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

I have been offering online psychotherapy for many years now and have seen tremendous benefits for my clients. There is no doubt that the online therapy format using Skype is just as effective as in-person psychotherapy, especially for the style of therapy that I offer, which is called Mindfulness Therapy.

This is dependent less on developing a relationship with your therapist and more on teaching you practical skills that you can use to overcome difficult emotions such as chronic anxiety or depression. And that, I feel is the most important thing - to give you the tools that will help you overcome your specific emotional problems, and that can be taught very well online.

So, Mindfulness Therapy is a way of working with emotions like anxiety and depression, or addiction or compulsion or phobias or panic attacks. It's a way of working with difficult emotions by essentially changing the habit of the way that we react to these emotions.

So, emotions get triggered by thoughts or by external events and then we get lost in the conditioned reactions that ensue.

As Victor Frankl said in his famous quote, there is a space between stimulus and reaction and in that space there is choice. That space is what we develop during mindfulness training. It is the space of consciousness. It is the space that opens up when we become mindful of the triggers that trigger our anxiety or depression or compulsion, and the subjective emotional reactions that are conditioned to those triggers.

We can become mindful of both, both the triggers and our habitual reactions. When you become mindful you break that chain of reactivity that feeds and reinforces anxiety or depression, and that is a very important step. The most important step of all, really, is to break that habit that feeds and proliferates emotional suffering.

When you develop a conscious and mindful relationship with your anxiety or depression then that brings in the other factor associated with consciousness, which is choice - Choice to respond to your anxiety, or to the triggers, or to negative thought patterns, or negative behaviors - the choice to respond in ways that are not reactive but are imbued with natural innate intelligence. You can begin to change those patterns into more positive patterns if you have choice, and that is the second factor of Mindfulness Therapy. It is a way of developing more choice in how you relate to your mind and to the triggers that triggered those emotional reactions.

So, if you would like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and you would like to talk a mindfulness-based psychotherapist online, then please go to my website and email me to schedule a Skype therapy session. Thank you.

This online therapy service is available throughout the USA, UK and Western Europe and world-wide. All you need is an internet connection and you can start online psychotherapy with Dr. Strong.

Speak to a Therapist Online  - Therapy via Skype

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong, and I am a professional online therapist. If you would like to talk to an online therapist for help with anxiety or depression or addictions, please go to my website and contact me and then we can schedule an online therapy session.

Many people prefer talking to a therapist online because it is so much more convenient and also it's a way of getting the help that you need for anxiety or depression when living abroad or if you are not able to find a local therapist to work with where you live.

Online Mindfulness Therapy for Anxiety and Depression

The style of therapy that I provide is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is extremely effective for anxiety. It's a way of, basically, changing the underlying process that causes anxiety or depression. It's a way of breaking free from those patterns of reactive thinking that sustain anxiety, depression and, of course, addiction, also.

We have to change the way we relate to our thoughts and emotions. The greatest obstacle to change is aversion and avoidance.

In Mindfulness Therapy we pay particular attention to developing much more conscious awareness of our reactive thoughts to overcome the avoidance habit, and then we actually develop a friendly relationship with our emotional pain, our anxiety, our depression or even our negative thoughts.

It's extremely important to establish the right inner relationship with your emotions because it's the quality of this conscious friendly relationship to your emotions that allows them to change and heal so that you are no longer overcome by them.

Talk to a therapist online now for anxiety and depression

Perhaps you would like to talk to a therapist anonymously rather than going to visit them in an office. Many people are choosing the online therapy option these days, not only because of convenience but because it's much more comfortable for you the client. It's less intimidating and in fact I believe over the years that I've been practicing online therapy that my clients tend to recover or improve much faster when they can talk to me online rather than come into the office.

It's very important that during psychotherapy you are learning to become much more self-reliant, you are developing your own powers of working with your mind, with working with your emotions, and you don't want to become dependent on a therapist or anyone else. You have to develop these skills internally. This is very, very important, especially if you're struggling with anxiety or depression or addiction. And that's what I specialize in teaching you during online therapy sessions.

During these sessions I will be basically teaching you how to work with your emotions using mindfulness. Now mindfulness is an immensely powerful way of changing the relationship that you have with your mind, with your emotions, with your emotional suffering, with your anxiety, with your depression, or whatever it may be.

Mindfulness training teaches you how to form a compassionate and very conscious relationship with your emotions instead of avoiding them or suppressing them, which is what most people learn how to do. They simply learn how to avoid their emotions or suppress them rather than actually making friends with them. Helping those parts of yourself that are in pain heal. That's the central focus of mindfulness therapy and it works extremely well.

If you'd like to talk to a therapist online and you'd like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy then I invite you to go to my website and simply email me with any questions you may have about the online therapy approach. And when you feel ready you can schedule a therapy session with me via Skype at a time that works for you.

I see people worldwide. Most of my clients are in America but I also see clients in Western Europe and of course in the UK. I'm based in Colorado, but I find that it's very effective talking to people who are genuinely interested in changing their emotional reactivity and overcoming patterns of suffering, and you don't need to be an American to do that.

So if you would like to learn more about online therapy and you like to schedule a session with me and learn how to work with your emotions more effectively, then please send me an email. Thank you.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong and I am a professional online therapist. I offer online therapy over Skype for helping you overcome anxiety and depression and also for working with addictions, too.

So, as an online therapist, I specialize in providing very practical methods and techniques that you can apply yourself between therapy sessions. This is the most important thing that you should be learning from a therapist, any case.

It should not be considered as a treatment option, because that doesn't give you any skills that you can apply yourself. Good psychotherapy should not be regarded as a treatment, but rather as a way of teaching you more effective methods for working with anxiety and depression.

I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy, which is extremely practical and very effective for anxiety and depression. It teaches you how to change those underlying habitual patterns of reactive thinking that produce anxiety and depression.

Most of these habits are subconscious and not something that we are aware of most of the time. We are aware of the anxiety and depression, but not of the actual habits that create the anxiety and depression.

Mindfulness Therapy is very much about uncovering these habits and then changing them. It's actually much easier than you may think to change anxiety and depression. The key is to look directly at the underlying process that is producing that emotional suffering. If you do that, then the changes you make will be very direct and very effective.

So, Mindfulness Therapy gives you the tools to change the way you feel and to help you establish a much stronger sense of well-being in your life.

If you would like to learn more about Mindfulness Therapy and you would like to work with an online therapist such as myself, then please simply go to my website, learn more about online therapy over Skype and then email me and we can schedule a Skype therapy session. Thank you!

I see many clients in the UK and Europe, the Middle East and Far East, including Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong.

I specialize in Mindfulness Therapy. The focus of this service is to help you learn practical mindfulness-based methods for reducing anxiety, depression and stress by controlling the habitual reactive thinking that feeds anxiety and depression as well as healing the core emotions underneath that fuel that reactive thinking.

Welcome! My name is Peter Strong, and I am a professional online therapist. I provide online therapy via Skype to help you overcome anxiety, depression, and also to help you recover from addictions.

The service that I provide is available wherever you live, throughout North America, or abroad in Europe, and basically all you need is Skype and PayPal and a good internet connection and then you're good to go! If you would like to schedule an online therapy session with me, please visit my website and send me an email and then we can find a time that works for you.

So, this online service is very effective for working with anxiety, and many people choose the online route because it's more convenient and also easier to deal with, especially if you are suffering from anxiety.

The style of therapy that I offer is called Mindfulness Therapy, which is a very effective way of working with the underlying process that causes anxiety, depression or addictions. Medications only treat the symptoms. It's very import ant to treat the underlying cause.

And, for most people the underlying cause of anxiety, depression or addictions lies in two areas. The first is unresolved core emotions, core anxiety, depression or a sense of low self-esteem or other core emotion that, basically has not healed. This needs to heal in order to break free from the patterns of anxiety, depression or addiction.

The second part of working with emotional conditions using Mindfulness Therapy is to learn how to manage the reactive thinking that feeds those underlying core emotions.

Most people find themselves lost in habitual patterns of reactive thinking, racing mind, excessive worrying and anticipatory anxiety caused by over-thinking. Learning to manage reactive thinking is a very important part of Mindfulness Therapy.

So, during these sessions of online therapy, we will explore both the core emotions and those patterns of reactive thinking and I will teach you very practical mindfulness-based methods to work with these two areas.

And, because this approach is so focused on the underlying process, most people will sees significant changes in far fewer sessions than is typical for the more traditional style of talk therapy or counseling.

So, if you are interested in learning more about online therapy and the mindfulness therapy approach, please contact me through my website and we can schedule a Skype therapy session.

Speak to an online therapist for the treatment of anxiety & depression

So, now it's possible for you to talk to a therapist online to get help with anxiety or depression or addiction or any other emotional problem that's causing problems in your life.

It's very easy to get started, all you need is Skype and a good internet connection and then you can schedule a Skype therapy session with me. I see people throughout North America and Western Europe and as far away as Australia.

People contact me because they are particularly interested in the Mindfulness approach that I teach. Mindfulness therapy is immensely effects for anxiety and depression, particularly.

During these sessions which, I usually hold once a week, I will teach you very practical and very effective mindfulness-based methods for working with your emotions. The most important thing that we have to change is the way that we relate to our emotions.

Typically, we become identified with our emotions, they consume us, they overwhelm us, they basically cause us to become very reactive and this is a habit. This is a habit called reactive identification. It's the first thing we work on during mindfulness therapy sessions.

We need to, basically, break this habit so that you do not become overwhelmed by your emotions, that you can establish a stable and non-reactive relationship with your emotions. We call this learning to sit with your emotions. This is crucial when you have learnt how to do this, then you create the right conditions for the emotion to change and heal itself. But, also when you have a stable and non-reactive relationship with your emotions then you can help them heal. We do this through a variety of techniques.

One of the most effective and powerful aspects of mindfulness therapy is learning to develop a friendly and compassionate relationship with your emotions. This is absolutely essential for their healing. We must get over the habit of reacting with hatred or avoidance towards our emotional pain. We must instead learn to embrace it, because only then can you help it heal.

Much of the healing happens through this relationship, which we call the relationship between the True Self, your true self, and the emotion the Little Self. This alliance is very much like the alliance between a parent and a child in a healthy family. When the child feels secure it grows in a healthy way and learns how to manage its well-being by itself, it develops its own true self in that environment.

This is how we must treat our emotions, rather like we would treat the child with discipline, that's not becoming reactive, but also with love, which helps the emotion change and heal.

If you would like to learn more about the mindfulness therapy approach to healing anxiety or depression and you like the idea of talking to a therapist online now, do please go to my website, learn more and then send me an email so we can work on scheduling a Skype therapy session at a time that was you. Welcome. If you would like to talk to a therapist online for psychological help do please go to my website and learn more about my Skype Therapy Service that I provide.

Skype therapy is a very effective way of working with anxiety and depression and also other emotional problems that you may be experiencing, and it is available, of course, wherever you live, whether that is in the US or abroad.

I see people all over the world, and particularly people who are interested in Mindfulness Therapy, which is the particular style of therapy that I offer online and that works extremely well for anxiety and depression.

Basically, during these online therapy sessions, what I will be teaching you is how to work with your emotions and how to develop more space in that relationship with your emotions and with your thoughts, so that you can break the habit of becoming overwhelmed or consumed by your thoughts or emotions.

The biggest problem that we face is this problem of reactive identification, where we literally become consumed by our thoughts or emotions; and when that happens, they simply grow stronger.

What mindfulness teaches us is how to essentially sit with your emotions or thoughts without becoming consumed by them. This allows you to develop what we call "emotional independence" from your thoughts or emotions. This is the first step to healing.

If you want to overcome anxiety you have to be able to sit with your anxiety consciously, without becoming reactive. When you can do that, then you can actually begin to change the anxiety itself, working with its internal image structure, which I will talk to you more about during our sessions.

But, when you change how you see the emotion in the mind, when you change its image structure, then you change the emotion itself, directly. So, that is one part of mindfulness therapy.

So, please go to my website, learn more about Skype therapy, and then call me via email and we can set up a Skype therapy session. Thank you!
