This compote can be used as a substitute for syrup, jam, and jelly.
It's also good on cottage cheese.
Ingredients:
2 cups blueberries
1 cup cranberries
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
water to dissolve
Directions:
Mix berries and water in saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook for 5-7 min.
Add sugar, and boil 5 min longer.
Stir in cornstarch and take off burner when thickened.
